Portland’s Far Left Is Not Happy With Mayor WheelerJOHN SEXTONPosted at 6:41 pm on August 15, 2019

After the Antifa attack on reporter Andy Ngo became national news, Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler decided to take a stand. Well, it wasn’t exactly a stand it was more of a vague statement about “some” who “chose to engage in violence.” Mayor Wheeler wanted these unnamed perpetrators (he never named Antifa) to know he wasn’t having it anymore.

This coming weekend Portland is expected to be the scene of another clash between far-right groups from out of town and homegrown far-left groups, especially Antifa. In anticipation of this, Mayor Wheeler put out a video statement once again saying he won’t tolerate the violence. He promised to “use whatever means necessary” (a phrase that should resonate with Antifa) to prevent violence. Yesterday, Wheeler also had a public gathering of civic leaders to make the point that the entire city is against violence in the streets. Again, it’s worth noting that the Mayor never mentioned Antifa by name. Still, Portland Mercury’s Blogtown reports local far-left activists are upset with the Mayor:

“What’s even more unsafe is letting these movements go unopposed,” says Effie Baum, spokesperson for Popular Mobilization, or PopMob, a group that organizes left-wing rallies. “If we don’t go, they’re going to continue to grow and continue to come back. Honestly, the growing far-right movement is far more dangerous than the decision to show up and oppose it.”

Baum believes the city’s pushback violates Portlanders’ constitutional right to protest…

Baum acknowledges that Portland’s various anti-fascist groups often use different tactics during protests. Some of them can turn violent.

“The bottom line is that we are all on the same team and we all have the same end goals,” Baum says, “which is we don’t want fascists feeling welcome in our community.”

It would be interesting to know if the people in ANTIFA actually believe they are the anti fascists or if they know they are full of shit and are the actual fascists.

And we already know what's going to happen, maybe not this weekend, but it is the future. ANTIFA members will commit violence on someone on the right who is armed and that person will kill said ANTIFA pussies and be prosecuted and the entire of the media will scream about right wing gun violence.

Portland Protests (http://patterico.com/2019/08/17/portland-protests/)

It’s the Far Right vs Antifa today in Portland (https://www.apnews.com/472a99b78f214e00b96f0b03776b1a28):
More than two dozen local, state and federal law enforcement agencies, including the FBI and the Federal Protective Service, were in Portland, Oregon, on Saturday to help police there monitor a right-wing rally that’s expected to draw demonstrators from around the U.S.

Self-described anti-fascists have vowed to confront the rally while leaders from the far right urged their followers to turn out in large numbers to protest the arrests of six members of right-wing groups in the run-up to the event.

The Oregonian (https://www.oregonlive.com/crime/2019/08/portland-protests-aug-17-what-you-need-to-know.html):
What, exactly, is going to happen?

It’s hard to say. Portland’s largest protests tend to be roving, unpredictable affairs.
But here’s what we know:

Two Florida men with large followings in the right-wing movement are holding an “End Domestic Terrorism” rally Saturday at 11 a.m. in Tom McCall Waterfront Park. An organizer said he expects up to 1,000 people show up for the event, which seeks to draw like-minded people from around the country as a show of force against self-described anti-fascists, or antifa.

Rose City Antifa, Portland’s homegrown, amorphous band of anti-fascist activists, is calling on supporters to turn out in opposition to the rally.

Major consideration is being given to naming ANTIFA an “ORGANIZATION OF TERROR.” Portland is being watched very closely. Hopefully the Mayor will be able to properly do his job!

Looks like Portland is ready for a crowd. President Trump weighed in on Twitter, so we'll see what happens.

They do NOT look like they came for a PEACEFUL, PRO AMERICA rally, and they don't look very proud of what they're doing either, or they wouldn't HIDE THEIR FACE.

If you check Andy Ngo's twitter, he has lots of videos. His bias is clear, but then again, so is the City of Portland's.

Anyways, here's a wrap up report:

Why does cnn call antifa "anti fascist protestors," and the patriots "far right extremists?" I guess standing up for America is FAR RIGHT EXTREMISM to the left. What utter bull shit.

cnn's BIAS is LEGENDARY, and I didn't read any further than their opening sentence.
