I wonder where it stops? IF it ever stops? Is there anything at all not on the table to be offered as free if that's what it takes?

Sanders previews plan to cancel all past-due medical debt

White House hopeful Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) on Saturday previewed his upcoming plan to cancel all past-due medical debt.

Sanders, who will unveil the plan in full next month, has made the country’s health care costs a focal point of his progressive policy proposals.

Sanders's plan would cancel $81 billion in existing past-due medical debt, repeal parts of the 2005 bankruptcy reform bill and ensure that unpaid medical bills do not impact one’s credit score. Sanders has hit the 2005 bill for eliminating "fundamental consumer protections," accusing it of making it difficult for Americans to pay back medical debt by imposing stringent means tests.

“In the United States of America, your financial life and future should not be destroyed because you or a member of your family gets sick,” Sanders said in a news release previewing his plan.

"That is unacceptable. I am sick and tired of seeing over 500,000 Americans declare bankruptcy each year because they cannot pay off the outrageous cost of a medical emergency or a hospital stay," he continued. "In the wealthiest country in the history of the world, 42 percent of Americans should not be losing their entire life savings two years after being diagnosed with cancer."

Sanders is loony tunes.

I had to fight tooth and nail to clear my Mom's accounts because of errors in the system(s).

Now, with a swish of his wand, he wants to erase medical debts?
I have life insurance, cancer insurance, accidental death and dismembership insurance,
VA and Tri-Care coverage, Medicare.

Why should taxpayers foot the bill to pay for those that do nothing to support themselves?

Ludicrous at best!

Of course this is ALL pure HORSE SHIT. Even the crazy old man, feel the burn that combs his hair with a BALLOON knows he could NEVER deliver this.

Lies, lies and more LIES. Democrats are the party of trash. You have to be an IDIOT to listen to these people... or just hate America... like you've been taught in school.

Bernie knows his dumb supporters so well.

People with brains know that debt isn't just "cancelled" someone has to write it off, aka lose money.

Also, I don't see how the government could possibly force private companies to just write debt off without forcing the debtor into bankruptcy either.

That was under obama and GM made out like a bandit. Creditors were totally shafted..
obama adminsaid f-you to them.
Government under obama shafted the tax payers , and you can bet the billions that GM was benefited with, there were huge kickbacks to certain parties--besides just the government itself, the socialist dem party and the obama traitor himself.--Tyr

GM was forced to file Chapter 11 bankruptcy as well.
