Still the best political forum that I've found in my long search . -Tyr

I no mind thought and opinions of people I disagree. I prefer debate with them instead of ones who think like me. This is a place of debate so more opposing views the better.

I trust I am doing this right....

Have been on the boards about a decade, a retired political journalist in Canada, I just can't seem to get it out of my system. My political leanings are to the left, I am a Canadian Liberal which is not to say I have a whole lot in common with my American counterparts.

For the record I am a dual citizen, born in Canada of American parents and was raised and educated south of that arbitrary line in the sand called the 49th parallel.

I am surprised, at first rush, that I know no one here, which is kind of refreshing since I am bored with the same old arguments. I love a good expanding debate, free of personal insults and attacks and especially enjoy those moments when a fellow poster irritates me enough that I finally realize he is right and I am wrong.

In other forums I have made good friends on both sides of the aisle, and I hope that might be possible here.

I hope you've been around long enough to know the MO of boards. Please give it a tad of time until you know the layout and folks. Don't think we're all bad folks if you have a bad outing on your first debate. We have insults of course from time to time, but then things lighten up. We have great debates, and then some suck. Here that would be socialist babies. And we deep fry them and call them "freedom snacks". Liberal here is what you might call a neo con, free enterprise, social programs paid for by drill, baby, drill. I am proud to say we are going to turn this place into Swiss cheese only with the smell of money.

The babies we eat are those of the NDP - New Democratic Party, "progressives" who advocate for income equity, higher minimum wage, pacifying Islam and spending as much money as they can in as short a time as possible. They call themselves "social democrats" which is much more honest at least than Americans who claim to be "liberals".

Hello, I just came here hoping to have some fun. I'm still trying to figure out the dynamics of this community... eitherway, to say something about me, my grammar sucks because I am not from any English speaking country. I am from Venezuela and I think I am a little bit intimidating and awkward as a person. In short, I'm not good at making friends, specially online friends.

What I do like, and what I'm interested in and find estimulating is to explore new ideas from a logic approach.

Nicolas Maduro is an illiterate bus driver that got his position by being a Chavez cocksucker. The Communist Party is a murderous band of criminals that has infested every level of life in Cuba and Venezuela.

Of course we also have the burden of a Communist traitor in our nation as well: His name is Barack HUSSEIN Obama. You can also call him B-HO, Obamanation, or you can call him that asshole nigger that's bringing pain to our nation. I must warn you that if one does that, they risk having their taxes audited by the IRS. Obama prefers to be addressed as our HNIC.

If you're asking that about posting here, that's not correct. You ARE allowed to insult others, we allow the freedom to speak your mind here. It won't win you any friends, and I don't recommend it, but you're free to speak how you want - to an extent. In other words, don't run around and do anything other than curse at people. :)

I've been here before but it's been years, I think. I don't really have anything to say about myself. I have a lot of kids, four...two are married and moved out, one of those has a couple of his own kids. I have two at home. I cook a lot. I'm a Baptist. I was teaching Sunday school and leading the church choir but right now I'm on a hiaitus from that, I work too and I needed some down time somewhere in the week. And for some reason I can't make paragraphs here, what's up with that? Anyway I see a few ppls I know here so will see you around.

I don't know how to relate with forum members in general. The cultural difference is too big. Yet, I think I might have found a couple of members I hope I can interact with.

I just feel alien. That's all.

We are all sinners here and a few of us are a bit crazy..
However each regular member seems to know that being human, nobody expects perfection here .
For if they do, they will be sadly mistaken and morally dejected.

When I hit enter x2 on my phone it works. But I can't get anything to make it work on the reg puter.

Oh wait, ok hitting the A does the trick.

Now I have another question...so right now there are 51 members or whatever on line.

But explain this:

"Most users ever online was 4,433, 07-21-2015 at 08:44 AM."

How does that work? Seriously??????

Just to say hello to everyone. First off, I thought I would pass on my vast history knowledge of America -

I remember a trip to America and I went to visit a school. With being English, they wanted me to sit in one of the history classes dressed as an Indian. I thought, 'This will go down well'.
The teacher said, Let’s begin by reviewing some American History.
Teacher :- Who said ‘Give me Liberty, or give me Death’?
The whole class was a sea of blank faces except for me, so I put my hand up and said, ‘Patrick Henry, 1775,’.
Teacher :- Who said ‘Government of the People, by the People, for the People, shall not perish from the Earth?’
Again, no response, so I said:- ‘Abraham Lincoln, 1863’
The teacher snapped at the class, ‘Class, you should be ashamed, Nonnie who is new to our country, knows more about our history than you do.’
She heard a loud whisper: ‘Fuck the Indians’
‘Who said that?’ she demanded. Again I said, ‘General Custer, 1862.’
At that point, a student in the back said, ‘I’m gonna puke.’
The teacher glares around and asks ‘All right! Now, who said that?’
So I says, ‘George Bush to the Japanese Prime Minister, 1991.’
Now furious, another student yells, ‘Oh yeah? Suck this!’
I jump out of my chair waving my hand and I shout to the teacher, ‘Bill Clinton, to Monica Lewinsky, 1997.’
Now with almost mob hysteria someone said ‘You little shit. If you say anything else, I’ll kill you.’
By know, I frantically yell at the top of my voice, ‘Michael Jackson to the child witness testifying against him, 2004.’
The teacher fainted. And as the class gathered around the teacher on the floor, someone said,
‘Oh shit, we’re screwed!’ so I said said quietly, ‘I think it was Lehmann Brothers, November 4th,2008’.
I thought it went well.

So I'm looking forward to wandering around your forum, speaking to others and getting to know your way of living. Thanks to Perianne for directing me to this site, she said it was full of lunatics so I should fit in well. And I'm not gullible so I thank her for that nice comment.

This thing does everything but the dishes, and it is very light-weight.
