The people might think it's great that we let the Kurds get slaughtered because Turkey threatened to go in on their own, but the House vote was overwhelming in disagreement.

'The Kurds are being slaughtered': House votes to condemn President Trump’s troop pullout from Syria
Christal Hayes and Ledyard King, USA TODAYPublished 10:18 a.m. ET Oct. 16, 2019 | Updated 3:41 p.m. ET Oct. 16, 2019

WASHINGTON – The House Wednesday overwhelmingly backed aresolution condemning President Donald Trump's decision to withdraw U.S. troops from Syria, a rare bipartisan rebuke at a time when the president is trying to shore up GOP support to stave off impeachment.

Shortly after the vote, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi tweeted that the White House cancelled a Thursday briefing for lawmakers on Syria, "denying the Congress its right to be informed as it makes decisions about our national security."

Trump's decision to remove the troops near the Turkish border has allowed Turkey to lodge an attack on U.S. Kurdish allies who helped in the fight against the Islamic State terrorist group, also known as ISIS.

The House vote was 354-60 with every Democrat and more than two-thirds of the Republicans supporting the measure.

Texas Rep. Michael McCaul, the top Republican on the House Foreign Affairs Committee and a co-sponsor of the resolution, said the pullout has stained America's reputation as a dependable partner.

Doesn't really change much, and I'm confident that some in there voted on a political basis, but matters not.

Stay, then what? And if we stayed, and any soldiers died as a result - again, should we have been prepared to go to war with a nato ally? I say not. Shitty to have left but things were only going to get worse. It was either get them out or IMO increase the troop presence big time - and basically get ready for war against Turkey.

I haven't seen many answer that question.

So the issue is and always has been Turkey? Sh*t! I didn't know they were the Nato ally that would succeed in determining US policy and withdrawals. But it is what it is.

Unless you are, or have ever served in uniform for the U.S.A. during times of War. YOU, and YOU ALONE should be the people who are making the decisions to place our Fathers, Mothers, Sons, Daughters, Cousins, Friends, and Neighbors in HARMS WAY.

Yes, they follow orders to PROTECT our nation. But...as John Kerry once asked in his "Winter Soldier" report to Congress.

(paraphrasing here) "Who Decides What American Will be the Last to Die?"

NONE OF US here has the power, or the right to be the arbitor of such questions.
And that's my 2 cents on this topic.

Do you know how stupid this sounds considering our current commander in chief has ZERO military experience. He had bone spurs remember?

So the issue to you is less about American's lives and any war with Turkey, but more about Trump.

That's not what I said, but like so many are choosing to do with my posts you're writing what you want to portray my views.

I don't think that the United States, under any president, should be making policy decisions on the basis of what an enemy, and Turkey IS an enemy, threatens to do.

Did you see the letter first put up by Trish Reagan, now released by the White House? It may be that the President was played. If so, an 'I really learned' would suffice going forward.

Nope, my post was directly related to your sarcasm in your prior post to me, for whatever reason, as you seem to want to reply as such to me. Not sure why, but it came about with my stance on Turkey and/or replies.

I was responding to your posts to me. I have not purposefully been sarcastic here, other than towards defense of the indefensible.

What about human anatomy and physiology. Huh? I worked with athletic injuries along with a therapist,
one of which we had on staff in the Gym. Again you show your blind ignorance.

When Trump was a young man he played tennis. Back in the late 50's and into even the 80's,
tennis, basketball, wrestling, football, baseball, and track shoes were nothing but rubber soled flats.

Lots of bone spurs, ankle, knee, and back injuries.

It was not until New Balance came along after 1983 where heel cushioned and instep support were built
into the market shoes.

We tested them in the USCG Gym at Training Center Cape May, NJ. The impact injuries plummeted and
the New Balance Cross-Trainers became standard issue for all incoming recruits, Academy, OCS, and Prior
Service inductees.

At least the President you hate so much knows the value of SERVING this nation. YOU...on the other hand, have nothing to show for even being here at DP, other than to TROLL, and ENFORCE all of the perpetual Lies....the left, Democrats, and those you fear will call you names like RACIST...if you disagree with them.

Tell us petey....How, exactly, have you ever served the BETTER GOOD of our nation? Other than being a good Sheep, following fellow haters down that rat hole called the DNC.

Pete, I agree with you that his comment made zero sense and was chalk full of stupid, but your comment about bone spurs was equally as stupid.

I have 26 years of military experience and can emphatically tell anyone to fuck off if they suggest that only those with military experience should be opining about how to best use our military.

Pete, I've tried to explain this to you before. I am a man of integrity, so I've no problem saying "without question the Trump family found them a doctor who was willing to write a dubious claim of bone spurs to keep Trump out of Vietnam" I've said that several times on this board in the past, and couple it with who gives a fuck, none of us who didn't live through Vietnam can say what we would or would not have done to get out of going if we had the means to do so. See dumb shit, I even have posted on here that I don't give a shit that Ali went to Canada to avoid the draft. See dumb shit, I've even posted on here that I hold the SAME opinion about Biden's exemption for ASHTMA. I do not care.

You on the other hand go on and on and on about 'bone spurs" but I've yet to see you say ANYTHING about Biden using a similarly dubious medical condition to avoid serving.

Because you have no integrity.

By the way dumb shit, I have an uncle who was drafted and did serve in Vietnam, he will point blank tell anyone who asks that he wishes my grandparents could have afforded to get him out of it, in anyway they could have. Vietnam was a shit fest.

You ever gonna learn Pete? You can't win an argument against me on ANY subject because I am consistent in thought and have integrity, while you , not so much.
