This is an awesome job by NPR. They have color coded link pop ups on many parts of the complaint where you can click and see how that claim was corroborated. Very easy to understand.

You could have chosen not to respond. You could have chosen to explain why you thought his response was wrong. You didnt. You chose to be hostile.
That isnt helpful.

Typical response here, blame me, not the original aggressor. This is why there are no new members. No one wants to put up with that shit.

I disagree with that. I think her point is, rather than continue public feuds, folks can use the ignore button, manually ignore or whatever. But adding to what they see as negativity does just that - continues negativity.
And fwiw - I am NOT judging either of you in my response, just trying to explain what I have explained many times. Not everyone sees everything identically, but those seeing negativity CAN control things to an extent, whether others disagree with them or not.
And what happens is, whether you think it was negative, whether I think feuds like this instantly kill threads or whatever the reasoning is behind it, the threads and the community suffer as a result. Even with "I" watching as a 3rd party, if I don't like something I am reading, I have control over many options.
What it SHOULD NOT come down to is someone else helping or forcing others in how they handle it.

Oh, and this has nothing to do with new members. Things like that are often said to add to one's problem that the other person is doing more harm than to just them.
Like I've been saying, ALL of the political boards where folks are encouraged to discuss or debate political goings on, there will inevitably end up with sarcasm, lame name calling and feuds, and usually in that order. We are no worse than others in that department, and truly not better, just smaller.
A lot of reasons for no new members but 95% of the reason is not enough traffic coming here. You of all people should know it's easy to see where and how people are coming from here. What it is they read and how long they stay, and can even tell almost where they left off and bailed.
By no means are we the most inviting and the nicest and kindest people in the world and completely immune to arguments and such when discussing such things. But hell, not a single board is.
And I've been telling you the same thing I tell others that may complain about you, or want you banned for whatever dumb reason. A) not gonna happen, not even close and then B) I explain to them just how easy it is to make you almost disappear.
But NONE of us does any favors for ourselves or the community if we add to what 'we think' is negativity towards us.

no hoss, you used my opening to avoid attempting to refute my premise which I backed up with links.
And my expressing my opinion of your usual liberal bias, liberal indoctrination and too oft one liners was dead on target.
Besides, my opening which did get personal- many here besides me see you as I described you.
As to running off -new members-- you are not new member and you without any doubt deviously deceptive in how you post here.
I have myself spent years being attacked here with far worse comments and simply told if I dont like it -put the guy on ignore.
You could do that but you'd rater divert from attempting to refute my premise which I backed by links...
If I can be told to shut up and put the guy on ignore, so can you-- the way I see it, so can any other member here --that is unless I was singled out to be the only one to be told to do that.
At least all of my post was my honest views and the links given supported my premise that Trump did nothing wrong...Which you cleverly ignored to try to refute.
Ive been attacked here over these years more than anybody here has, IMHO.
And I've held back more than anybody here, IMHO.--Tyr

Another APRIL FOOLS joke still won't make it correct. NPR is as crooked, and lies just as much as PMSNBC/CNN combined. Using them as a source, when looking for Honesty is like asking BILL Clinton if he ever Inhaled.
All they have Corroborated is what ADAM SCHIFF FOR BRAINS, and Nancy (I want to keep my Speakership) Pelosi have been trying to BLOW SMOKE UP OUR BUTTS for such a long time.
So, you are impressed by colorful Links? Thank you AOC.

All the community needs to do is look at such threads and see how they get killed or devolve quickly. And this is NOT blaming anyone for an opinion. I'm talking about folks ignoring others that they feel ruin their time here somehow. Just do what you gotta do to make that person disappear as much as you can.
I have seen quite a few members over the years - literally leave here since they weren't allowed to continue fighting anymore. Rather than ignore, they leave. I'm baffled as to how that solves the problem. Funny thing is, they are now ignoring that person in a sense.
Not many on the board here completely innocent. But we all dictate to an extent what we see here.

Yes, we try and reset the game board every so often and give people the benefit of doubt. Same time, you can't exactly say Tyr's summation is incorrect. If one is known for deflections and non-answers for years, that person is going to have to prove they have changed their tact, not just say it. Aside from disagreeing with it, I personally don't see anything wrong with Pete's OP. IMO, if he is trying to "turn over a new leaf", the onus is on him to ignore being treated in a manner he has more than earned.
Just my 2 cents :)
Oh Tyr-Ziu Saxnot everyone is told the same thing about the ignore function by jim, not just you.

lol, you didn't visit the link did you? All they do is print out the whistleblower complaint and then within it link to the testimony information that supports it. You're not even trying to hide your head in the sand.

Your premise is that string attached foreign diplomacy is done all the time, so Trump did nothing wrong. That is so patently laughably an argument. The string matters. It can't be just any string. Trump can't demand another country say assassinate another foreign leader or ask a foreign leader to commit genocide, right? The string matters and it matters in this case.
