In my fours years here, there have been several short threads dealing with stuff we do in the
home,yard, and Vehicles.

There are quite a few skilled and talented members here, so I am looking to see if there would
be interest in a new Forum called "Household Hints and Repairs". That way some of these things
we post here can stay in one catalog.

Please reply here. Thanks!

I am not a handy person, but would certainly be happy to learn a thing or two!

I think it is a great idea my friend. I know we have had some here that are fantastic as repair guru's.. etc..
Myself not so much, but I can do some carpentry, plumbing, roofing, painting and brick, block and rock mason work too!
As in my youth have worked with crews , doing all of those ...
Loved it, as it kept me in great shape- especially the hard and heavy lifting involved in mason work..--Tyr

Personally, I think this is a great idea!

I'm often doing little tidbits as a homeowner, and most of it wrong and a learning experience!! I can share, but may ask more questions than sharing!! Let's see how a few others may feel about this one...

I find that the less I show my wife just how handy I am, the more likely she is to hire someone to do the work for us...

Sadly, I think I have shown my skills to often over the years...

Sadly, I think I have shown my skills to often over the years...

I've learned over the years to be QUITE handy! Little things I fix, and the tougher ones - I wait for the woman to go to work, then call in a pro and pay them to do it for me. :)

I've shown off my skills over the years too, and that's exactly why my wife doesn't get too angry with the spent money, as she knows the alternative. :)

Unabashed Bump.

If we add it, what shall we call it potentially that makes the most sense?

"Household Hints, Tips & Repairs"

"post your fixes and tips, ask for help..." sub header underneath?

Other ideas? Your suggestion on those 2 Elessar?

Well, here's an idea.

As you know, the Lady and I live in Florida. The house has a stucco finish and paint is required every couple of years (even tho we use a good paint). This time, we're giving an elastomeric paint a try.

We have to special order it as it's not a common use paint, but things are looking good so far.
