Of course, the truth always gets in the way for Democrats.

I also read yesterday from this nitwit about how so very important it is for there to be full honesty in the senate. Yeah, why didn't this twit speak up about the house shenanigans and refusal to let the republicans do anything at all and call no witnesses. The dems are SO transparent. Some already talking about impeachment if/after Trump wins in 2020. Unbelievable.

Since they want the truth, give it to them - ALL of it. Hunter Biden, Joe Biden, perhaps Kerry under oath - then Adam Schiff, Comey, Brennan.... put them all under oath.

They know they won't have the same power in the senate and they are now trying to get folks to believe it would be wrong for the Republicans to call witnesses and let America see ALL of the truth.

They know what's coming and they are trying to change the story already.

Schumer: Hunter Biden Would Be a ‘Distraction’ in Impeachment Trial

Appearing Monday on CNN’s New Day, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) claimed it would be a “distraction” if Hunter Biden testified as part of a Senate impeachment trial.

The New York Democrat’s remark came after he sent a letter to Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) to request the testimonies of acting White House chief of staff Mick Mulvaney, former national security advisor John Bolton, senior acting White House chief of Staff adviser Robert Blair, and Office of Management and Budget official Michael Duffey.

Yups. For any democrat to use the word "fairness" involving ANYTHING related to ALL of their investigations and shenanigans against Trump since 2015 - is hilarious.

Try Not to Laugh as Chuck Schumer Silkily Lectures About 'Fairness' for the Upcoming Senate Impeachment Trial

Try to stifle your laughter while watching Democrat Minority Leader Chuck Schumer lecture folks about the "fairness" he wants to see in the Senate Impeachment trial of President Trump. In fact, Schumer admits that some senators think there's so little evidence to convict Trump that he wants more "fairness" to suss out new dirt that House Democrats didn't discover in their "inquiry."

After the House conducted most of its "impeachment inquiry" in Rep Adam Schiff's panic room in secret in the basement, after he denied Republicans a chance to call witnesses without Schiff's approval, you've got to appreciate the out-of-the-ballpark gall that it takes to completely ignore your own side's treachery and demand you be treated better.

That was Schumer's task on Monday as he told reporters that he wanted to call his own witnesses to testify against President Trump, gain access to subpoenaed documents denied the House, and hold a real trial to collect evidence and cross examine witnesses.

"A good number of my Republican colleagues said that they believe the charges are serious but there isn't enough evidence yet to make a decision."

Put another way, Schumer wants a do-over on Trump.

CBS News reports that Schumer wants the Trump White House to come testify against the president:

"Acting White House chief of staff Mick Mulvaney, former national security adviser John Bolton, senior adviser to the Acting White House chief of staff Robert Blair and Michael Duffey, associate director for National Security, Office of Management and Budget."

Schumer says that "it's important that the American people judge [the trial] to be fair." And, of course, he's right. But it would have meant something if he'd bothered to use his influence with the House when it iced out almost all Republican input.

It seems McConnell addressed Schumer's remarks rather nicely this morning. :laugh2:

I tend to agree........by the time we listen to their testimony in the trials that Durham has Barr begin against them its going to be very redundant........save it for their prosecution, issue summary disposition of the impeachment farce.......

Chucky Schumer should attend the Senate hearings wearing his Bozo the Clown outfit. After all, that's the kind of atmosphere that Dems are going for in Congress.
