Spent most of today cleaning, going to run to the grocery to pick up a few things for cooking tomorrow. I tend to make 2 recipes on my days off, eat them the rest of the week. Split pea soup I can do in my sleep, so that is one. Went looking for something different, saw some folks talking about Shepard's Pie, which I've not made in many years. So that will be #2, with some change up.

Going with ground turkey rather than beef, since I have it. Going to pick up stove top dressing, will put that on bottom of the casserole. Then turkey with mixed veggies, onion, poultry seasoning, sage, and gravy. Last topped with mashed potatoes with some sour cream blended in. Into the oven that will go. Making fresh cranberries if still available, if not I guess some applesauce.

My wife and I stopped using ground beef a couple years ago. Switched to ground turkey. It's good, and cheaper too! No greasy aftertaste, and in Shepards Pie, you can't tell it's Not Beef.
Don't forget to add those veggies, and the mashed potatoes too! Yummy!
