This is old news but I just heard about it, news of the weird.

STORY EXCERPT: Ronald Dillon, a computer specialist for the agency’s IT help desk who assists co-workers and the public with tech-related problems, repeatedly channeled his inner Siri by talking in a "deliberately robotic fashion" when he fielded calls — despite his boss telling him to stop, according to an Office of Administrative Trials and Hearings decision. [...]

Dillon, with NYC's Health Department since 1976, was initially suspended for 20 days, then again about a year later. He said he uses a robot voice because he got complaints about his heavy Bronx accent. Yep, truth is stranger than fiction.

He should be proud of his Bronx accent! I’ve mostly lost mine, but I’m good either way. Article says Brooklyn, btw.
