Didn't think these two would drop out before Biden. WOW!

Amy Klobuchar is dropping out of the presidential race (https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/2020-presidential-election), a campaign official confirmed on Monday.

The Minnesota senator, who campaigned as a moderate Democrat who would "get things done," surprised early with a third-place finish in New Hampshire, but her campaign had sputtered in the weeks since. She broke the news to her staff on Monday, a campaign spokesperson told NBC News.

She will endorse former Vice President Joe Biden at a rally in Dallas later on Monday

Former South Bend, Indiana, Mayor Pete Buttigieg (https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/pete-buttigiegs-youth-optimism-winning-older-iowans/story?id=66773614) has suspended his 2020 presidential campaign, according to sources.
Buttigieg addressed a crowd Sunday night is his hometown of South Bend, campaign officials have announced.
The suspension of the campaign brings a close an historic bid by the first openly gay man to seek the presidency.
Buttigieg, who was once a long-shot in a crowded field of candidates, became a household name during the Democratic primary and would eventually go one to fare well in the Iowa caucuses and New Hampshire primary before his momentum was slowed during contests in the more diverse states of Nevada and South Carolina.

I'm surprised that they both bailed before tomorrow's Super Tuesday - IMO, they've come this far, why not wait a couple of days to see if a miracle happens?

This shows the level of panic setting in with a runaway Bernie campaign. Bernie won't stop and doesn't care if the whole party burns to the ground.

I imagine the DNC is desperately pressuring everyone to drop and endorse Biden, but it may be too late. There's been a lot of early voting going on.

I'm curious as to what the DNC used as a carrot to get these two to drop - cabinet positions in Biden's administration?

The Bernie and Warren voters aren't the target. The DNC is trying to clear the road for Biden and moderate Democrats.

I think it's funny that the Communist Frankenstein Monster they've created and nurtured now has a life of its own - and only now do they see the folly in playing with that particular fire.

So when the nomination is again taken from Bernie, there will be hell to pay. There's a lot of very hardcore leftists suspiciously watching and sharpening their knives.

Trump is going to slaughter either one, but Biden at least has a glimmer of a chance and the DNC knows it. They'll do what it takes to make Biden the nominee.

I’m thinking one or both want to run again, they’re winnowing the fire.

Undoubtedly. We haven't seen the last of those two.

If nothing else, this Democratic primary has been quite entertaining... but I think the best is yet to come.

I think the odds are high that we see the birth of a bonafide socialist party when the rug gets pulled.

Think Biden will pick one to be his VP?

A woman in the crowd at a Mason City event told former Vice President Joe Biden he would secure her vote if he promised to pick one of his female rivals as his running mate.
“We have been very fortunate to have great candidates for this nomination,” the woman said. “You’ve always been at the top of my list…I’m still undecided. You could clinch the deal with a Biden-Klobuchar nomination,” she said, to cheers from others in the crowd.
Biden replied that he’ll “look very, very closely” at choosing a woman as a running mate, but he declined to specify at this point in the campaign that it would be Minnesota Senator Amy Klobuchar. Biden promised his administration would — in his words — “look like the country.”

Two things I figure... one, they ran out of money, and two, they were told to.
