Most powerful hit yet, or almost?

He's old enough - so pray to God that the Queen doesn't get this.

Britain's Prince Charles tests positive for new coronavirus

LONDON (AP) — Prince Charles, the heir to the British throne, has tested positive for the new coronavirus, his office said Wednesday.

The 71-year-old is showing mild symptoms of COVID-19 and is self-isolating at a royal estate in Scotland, his Clarence House office said.

It says his wife Camilla, 72, has tested negative.

“The Prince of Wales has tested positive for Coronavirus,’’ Clarence House said. “He has been displaying mild symptoms but otherwise remains in good health and has been working from home throughout the last few days as usual.’’

Britain’s Press Association, citing a source, said the prince and the duchess remained in good spirits, and that Charles was not bedridden.

The tests were carried out by the National Health Service in Scotland.

“It is not possible to ascertain from whom the prince caught the virus owing to the high number of engagements he carried out in his public role during recent weeks."

Just read this. Greta T also claims to have had it, of course.

Saw that. No test of course, just her writing out the attention grabbing material.

You lot beat me to it !

Camilla tested negative, & so far as we know, the Queen remains in good health.

Greta, of course, WILL claim that. She will want to suggest it's a 'minor inconvenience', so she can then divert people back to concentrating on her propaganda. She must be incandescent at knowing that her efforts are being so comprehensively sidelined by that 'very naughty' virus.

Just wondering - is the virus sexually transmitted too?

... Er'm ... a bit of a moot point ? If you're going to be close enough to someone for sexual activity to be a prospect, the 'more normal' (?) method of transmission would surely also apply ?

Then again, if the consenting Parties wear gas masks, or equivalent, while participating ... OK, I see the point of the question.

... To each their own, I suppose !! ;) ....

I've heard nothing that gives an answer; sorry. Purely a guess, I'd imagine the answer must be 'yes' (??).

P.S .... I've also heard nothing to suggest that Camilla is a prolific gas mask user (.. though, would that answer a question or 2 .. ?):rolleyes:

So, hypothetically, if Charles died, and the Queen, would the Brits accept Camilla being crowned the new Queen, or would it even come to her?

William

There's your answer, HPD .... Prince William would take over.

Abbey wasn't referring to someone wearing a gas mask.

I think it's William and then all of his children first and then on to Harry after that, which would never happen now I guess.

I think Harry is still in line, but would be a moot point I would think with William and the children.

Well, ya neeeeeever know. Queen Elizabeth was further down the line, then a sickness and then an abdication - and then there she is for 67 years!!

I think Charles will be King, but hell, he's older. So I do think William is king someday. Then his son. And then the rest will all be dead by the time his reign is over!

So, been doing some reading into this, and from what I gather, if Charles survives the CV-19, and he becomes King after the Queen passes away, then Camilla will be made Princess Consort.

There apparently is never a King AND Queen at the same time, (learn something new every day), except for one time...

Why is the Queen's husband Prince Philip not King Philip?
The husband of a queen is known as a Prince consort and does not become King. Queen Victoria's husband was Prince Albert, and Queen Elizabeth's husband is Prince Philip The Duke of Edinburgh. The wife of a king is a Queen consort and does take the title Queen although she does not rule as the monarch. The only exceptions were William III and Mary II who ruled jointly from 1689 until Mary's death in 1694.
