WTF? They eat these nasty things too? What the hell is there to eat? What WON'T they eat? China and Japan and more surely have some messed up habits. They will eat anything that moves. No matter how gross.

THEY’LL EAT ANYTHING: Asian ‘Murder Hornets’ Are A Delicacy In Japan

Asians apparently eat anything.

The coronavirus now sweeping the world came from a “wet market” in Wuhan, China, which sells all kinds of exotic animals like bats, pangolins, live wolf pups, salamanders, civets, and bamboo rats.

Gross.

Now, it turns out Japan eats some weird stuff, too.

“The giant hornet, along with other varieties of wasps, has traditionally been considered a delicacy in this rugged part of the country,” the New York Times reported. “The grubs are often preserved in jars, pan-fried or steamed with rice to make a savory dish called hebo-gohan. The adults, which can be two inches long, are fried on skewers, stinger and all, until the carapace becomes light and crunchy. They leave a warming, tingling sensation when eaten.”

And they drink the hornets’ venom, too.

"The hornets can also give liquor an extra kick. Live specimens are drowned in shochu, a clear distilled beverage. In their death throes, the insects release their venom into the liquid, and it is stored until it turns a dark shade of amber.”

If I can remember, I'll delete videos in response. I'm afraid it happens to me much more when on phone texting, I just suck at that.

I do not like May, much more than April. I really think this year would be better in the past.

I always delete videos or a ton of pics or even a very lengthy post in general when replying. Takes up too much space, and no need for any images or videos to keep being seen as one scrolls down. Just makes it easier.

Bugs of all kind are kosher and they're delicious. They've markets in Asia that sell all different kind of fried bugs. What I'd be concerned with is the oil, is it good pure fresh vegetable oil, or is it mineral oil, PCB transformer oil, or rendered sewer oil. Yeah, those Asians will eat anything which is why they're vicious and tough to kill.

HURL WARNING SYSTEM!

https://news.yahoo.com/deadly-virus-killing-wild-rabbits-164337266.html

A new deadly virus, rabbit hemorrhagic disease, is killing thousands of wild rabbits in the US
USA TODAY
N'dea Yancey-Bragg, USA TODAY
,USA TODAY•May 20, 2020

A deadly virus is spreading across the southwestern United States and killing wild rabbits on this continent for the first time, wildlife officials say.

Rabbit hemorrhagic disease virus type 2 can cause swelling, internal bleeding and liver damage in rabbits, hares, jackrabbits and pikas, according to the California Department of Fish and Wildlife.

The symptoms can appear so rapidly that infected rabbits may die before they're found. Rabbits that have died from the disease may have blood on their mouth or nose.

"It’s going to affect the entire food chain," said Ralph Zimmerman, the state veterinarian for New Mexico where the disease first emerged in March. "Everything that feeds on rabbits is going to be affected to some degree."

The disease has killed "thousands" of rabbits in New Mexico alone, Zimmerman said.

"I’ve had reports of hundreds of dead rabbits," he said. "One of the Game and Fish folks estimated that it would be in the tens of thousands by the time it was done moving through the state."

The highly contagious disease spreads only between rabbits and is not known to affect humans, livestock or other kinds of pets. Wildlife officials are emphasizing that it is not related to coronavirus, though there are some parallels.

The virus is spread through contact with infected rabbits, their meat or fur, contaminated food or water, or insects and scavengers that have come into contact with infectious material, according to the National Wildlife Health Center.

The hardy virus can remain stable in the environment for up to 15 weeks in dry conditions and can survive freezing.

This virus is a new strain of a disease that first emerged in China in 1984, according to a study in the peer-reviewed Journal of Virology. The new type of virus, RHDV2, was first detected in France in 2010 and has since killed wild rabbits across Europe. It spread through Australia in 18 months.
