The roughly 70% of whites in this country ar being disenfranchised from their place in history by a bunch of racists out of fear of being labeled a racist . I really think the average person in this country is stupid, brainwashed and sucks. Like this moron Governor. Virginia used to be a nice place to live.

OAN Newsroom
UPDATED 1:20 PM PT — Thursday, June 4, 2020Virginia’s governor has confirmed the state will be removing its historic confederate statue of Robert E. Lee. On Thursday, Ralph Northam announced the statue will be put in storage, pending a decision on where it should be placed.
The site, which is located in Richmond, has been the center of massive protests over the past week following the death of George Floyd. Several incidents of vandalism have been reported along the historic monument avenue.
According to the governor, this new move will send a clear message that Virginia is learning from the past and moving forward.
“In Virginia, we no longer preach a false version of history, one that pretends that the Civil War was about state rights and not the evils of slavery,” stated Governor Northam. “No one believes that any longer and, in 2020, we can no longer honor a system that was based on the buying and selling of enslaved people.”

As a White person with no connection at all to Gen. Robert E. Lee and the Confederacy, it's no skin off my back if they tear down the statue of a great traitor who deserves our mockery and scorn. A statue honoring Gen. Robert E. Lee is like a state honoring Field Marshall Erwin Rommel.

I would think long and hard about erasing history, regardless of if you like it or not. The easier it becomes to erase history, the more it will happen.

Our "FOOL", I mean "IDIOT" gov here in Va. is nothing but a desperate Terry McAwful choir boy who fully supports the idea's of ABORTION, SOCIALISM, MARXISM, LENNONISM, CLINTONISM and OBAMA-ISM'S BECAUSE...HE doesn't want to be labeled as the RACIST he really is.

He made Virginia a Sanctuary state, and a place where women can become their own Murderers of their own Fetus' simply because he fully supports PLANNED PARENTHOOD, which is a Joke in itself. It should be called "PLANNED BABY KILLING UPON REQUEST".

If the left arranges for all of the So-called Insulting statues in this nation to be torn down. Somebody needs to go to WEST VIRGINIA...IN MANY PLACES...and tear down all of the ROBERT BYRD monuments that insults anyone who hates the KKK. Because he was a GRAND DRAGON of the KKK...even as he pretended to care for Black Americans...as long as they didn't get an education that would inform them HOW MUCH OF A LIAR DEMOCRATS REALLY ARE.

While I agree with your sentiment, removing a statue doesn't mean history is being erased. What's been erased from history is the real reason the Civil War was fought and that's the Cotton Tariff, which accounted for a huge portion of Feral Gubmint revenue, without which the Feral Gubmint would have had to rely upon efficiency and thrifty, two virtues that no government in the history of the world has understood.

There is a bit of debate on what caused the civil war, but I wouldn't be surprised if the debate is because some piece of history was erased.

The Violence Against This Civil War Monument Captures Just How Badly the George Floyd Riots Have Gone Wrong
BY TYLER O'NEIL JUN 04, 2020 8:58 PM EST

As protests over the horrific police killing of George Floyd devolved into looting, vandalism, and arson across America, destroying black lives and livelihoods, rioters targeted Civil War monuments, specifically those honoring figures from the Confederacy like Robert E. Lee. In Boston, however, rioters vandalized a memorial to black patriots who risked their lives to fight for the Union and against race-based slavery. Oops!

DALLAS -- A published account of brutal and racist chapters in the history of an elite Texas investigative agency prompted Dallas officials to remove on Thursday a statue from Love Field’s passenger terminal that honored the agency.
The 12-foot-tall bronze statue of a Texas Ranger, called “One Riot, One Ranger,” has been a focal point in the terminal since 1963.

https://abcnews.go.com/US/wireStory/dallas-officials-remove-texas-ranger-statue-love-field-71078998It's not going to stop until someone stops them. It's ridiculous.

The last Texans out of Dallas needs to bring the Texas flag with them. It's just another lefty-rodent infested, extra large city full of handout babies and snowbirds.
