I must preface one again - I support any peaceful protests, I support justice for George Floyd and hope the officer is found guilty.

This is again about antics around everything.

So as we know they want to disband the police, defund the police all over. And the police? Well, a few of them are going to get on their knees and wash the feet of black people??? WTF??

This is all wrong in many ways, and would be just as wrong if it were the other way around. Give folks what truly needs to be done, like police change, training on all kinds of things, prevention things, community based things.

I get that they are faith leaders, but they are also human beings. Is this supposed to recreate something? Actually fix anything? They say it's for solidarity, and apologizing is in there, but I don't see this as any answer.

While I would agree 100% wholeheartedly that there is a lot of faith healing in the community and the police that needs to take place.

But kneeling and washing feet? I don't see where this does anyone any good. One or 10 people (I kid), but the masses aren't going to change minds over stupid feet washing. Verbal apologies don't even do anything now. True change WHERE NEEDED is important.

No feet washing to anyone, no bowing to anyone, no begging - change is what is needed. Not degrading one another.

Am I the only one? I don't get it. This just isn't the answer.

White residents wash black priests’ feet during George Floyd vigil in US

Several white locals washed the feet of black pastors during a prayer for George Floyd in North Carolina, invoking a religious rite that sparked a flurry of divisive comments online.
The ritual, which was organized by pastors Faith and Soboma Wokoma in Cary, North Carolina, was part of a prayer walk for black Minnesota man George Floyd, who died in police custody in late May.

Protesters, which included Black Lives Matter activists, first observed eight minutes and 46 seconds of silence to mark the length of time that a white Minneapolis police officer knelt on Floyd’s neck before he died.

In addition to the silent commemoration, widely shared photos show what appears to be a group of white police officers and other white attendees kneeling before a number of priests, washing their feet in buckets.

The feet-washing ceremony apparently invoked the biblical story of Jesus cleansing the feet of his disciples to show humility and love. However, it also touched a nerve with some observers online.

Several commenters unloaded on the participants, accusing them of engaging in self-humiliation and falling victim to “mass psychosis and brain-washing.”

Others noted that washing someone’s feet is an inherent part of religious practice in the south, and is also something that the Catholic pontiff does from time to time.

"humility and love"

I read in another article that this is what it's supposed to represent. I dunno. I have to rethink all of this. I just don't get it inside me, and don't see it really doing any healing. And I also think that many white folks are doing things like this for attention and what not, or appeasing, and don't mean it. Like so many taking advantage of the destruction for their selfies.

Some of it is attention whoring and some of it is brainwashed leftists with white guilt.

Well, there's another video i won't watch. Who needs the aggravation? Besides, i can't change these people. And who knows, the whole thing could have been easily staged by someone with some agenda.

Don't care, ain't watching. I also skipped the Daniel Pearl beheading video, and have never regretted that decison either.

Yep, 100%. I haven't watched it either. I know exactly how I feel about it without watching it, and I also know that if I did watch it, it would just make my blood boil, so I just save myself the trouble.

I did watch the beheading vid though. I didn't think it could be real. It almost made me sick to my stomach. Would never watch another one. You have to be fully controlled by SATAN to be able to do something like that to another human being, and then walk away without guilt and sleep that night. You have to be a demon.

Those people who bowed down, took a knee, or washed someone's feet as an act of pure BS are all scared of being called the RACISTS they really are.
If any of them pretend to believe in A GOD. What they are doing is nothing short of Blasphemy. Pure and Simple.

The LIARS IN THE RADICAL DEMOCRAT PARTY are using their Scare Tactics to make really UNINFORMED, ILLITERATE People do as they say...or risk being Labeled as a Racist.

That's my two cents and I stand by it.

And for THIS we fought the Civil War

History lesson time.... If it wasn’t for the actions of Europeans, slavery would still exist today in nearly every continent.

Whites fought to free slaves, here in the US over half a million people died in the Civil War, cities e.g. Atlanta and Charleston were burnt to the ground. The South was in ruins, people died of diseases and starvation to boot.... and one President was assassinated

I GUESS THAT DOESN’T MATTER TO BULLSHIT MATTERS... we still owe them

Dismantling the police forces is step 1, they are going to want reparations next

Kneel today, pay tomorrow
