A rapper is now in charge of this zone, and also overall security. People have been assaulted and beat up, same thing, with these folks in charge. Just pure anarchy and lawlessness, but if course their lip service will swear otherwise. I saw videos of the violence and chaos myself.
And I said this a few years back - the folks making "demands" are getting out of hand. Starts with them in high school and college!! And with all they learned, here they are taking over the streets, city hall and the police, and still making more demands.
Trump was right, this needs to stop, and I hope he does put a stop to it. Big difference between stopping this shit and stopping a movement or peaceful protests.
And the same scumbag councilwoman that used her keys to open city hall and allow people in there, is the one now demanding that the police "surrender". :rolleyes:

Seattle Police Chief: Cops ‘Not Able to’ Respond to Rapes, Robberies Due to Autonomous Zone
Police have been unable to respond to “rapes, robberies, and all sorts of violent acts” occurring in Seattle’s East Precinct, which authorities abandoned on Monday, leaving the area in the hands of activists who set up their own police-free “Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone” (CHAZ), Seattle Police Chief Carmen Best said Thursday.
The police chief is now working on a plan to reopen the precinct, telling reporters calls for service “have more than tripled.”
“These are responses to emergency calls — rapes, robberies, and all sorts of violent acts that have been occurring in the area that we’re not able to get to,” she said.
Emergency response times in the area have tripled, she noted, going from just over five minutes to 18 minutes.
“If that is your mother, your sister, your cousin, your neighbor’s kid that is being raped, robbed assaulted (or) otherwise victimized, you’re not going to want to have to report that it took the police three times longer to get there to provide services to them,” Best said.
“It was never an option to have residents of the precinct, many of whom are members of our most marginalized communities by the way, waiting for an extra length of time for an officer to arrive to a violent crime in progress,” she stated.
The police chief also confirmed someone breached the building, which was abandoned on Monday:

Carmen, in a Thursday video address to East Precinct officers, emphasized it was not her decision to abandon the precinct. Rather, it was the city that “relinquished to severe public pressure,” resulting in protesters — including Antifa members and self-described anarchists — setting up a six-block perimeter, CHAZ, around the area and deeming it a police-free, “autonomous” zone.

Seattle Councilwoman Demands Police Permanently Surrender East Precinct Building to CHAZ
Seattle Councilwoman Kshama Sawant on Thursday night demanded the Seattle Police Department surrender the East Precinct building to “Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone” (CHAZ) protesters.
“Our movement needs to urgently ensure East Precinct is not handed back to police, but is turned over permanently into community control,” Sawant wrote on Twitter.
Sawant said she would file legislation to convert the East Precinct into “a community center for restorative justice.”
“The process for deciding East Precinct conversion must include those involved in CHAZ, black community organizations, restorative justice, faith, anti-racist, renter organizations, land trusts, groups, labor unions that have a proven record of fighting racism,” she wrote.

Sawant is an elected City Council official and a self-described socialist.
On Tuesday night, she opened Seattle City Hall to protesters, where they swarmed in and demanded the resignation of Mayor Jenny Durkan.
On Monday, Sawant also introduced a bill to ban police from using tear gas and chokeholds.
