Thanks, Rick!! And hey, was on Cheapo for a few hours yesterday. Started with looking at my Dad in Florida. One way flight to Fort Myers from me is sitting at $33 and for my return trip it would be about $39 and change!!

I can get tix to Alaska and back about the same cost as my first trip, or less depending on how much I'm willing to suffer. Or 1st class like the 2nd trip, and it is much cheaper, but not a ton.

And my first thought has been flying petri dishes. But apparently, the air inside cabins is fairly clean they way they do it. I though it was non-stop recirculated air. Anyway, read these:

https://www.askthepilot.com/questionanswers/cabin-air-quality/

Then again, knowing you, you likely knew all this already!

Yep, flying is safe. The air filtration is pretty impressive and the airplane moves a LOT more air than you'd think it does. I checked all that out when we were stuck down in Seattle at the beginning of the pandemic.

Darin is flying up to visit for a week at the end of August. Of course I'll take him to L5 and we'll do a bit of touring, and it would be cool if you were here at the time. Won't be any salmon running that late, but there will be trout & grayling in the river.

Better buy your tickets and saddle up, big boy.
