Like a child not getting her way, she's threatening to take her ball and go home.

Is she representing constituents and listening to what want and DON'T want as well? Or just fellow congress critters?

If she's truly thinking about bailing - then PLEASE for the LOVE OF GOD - PLEASE just go already and increase the overall IQ of congress instantly. The stupidity is contagious, and spreadts quickly when coming from a Twitnit congress woman.

AOC might quit politics after Democrats blame progressives for House loss

AOC was re-elected in 2020 after many believed her first victory was luck

In an exclusive interview with the New York Times, House Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), aka AOC, said she might quit politics because of resistance from fellow Democrats.

Despite remaining the majority, House Democrats lost some seats in this election. Many of them went on to blame progressive members like AOC, according to Business Insider.

“I don’t even know if I want to be in politics,” she told The Times. “You know, for real, in the first six months of my term, I didn’t even know if I was going to run for re-election this year.”

“I chose to run for re-election because I felt like I had to prove that this is real. That this movement was real. That I wasn’t a fluke,” AOC told The Times. “That people really want guaranteed health care and that people really want the Democratic Party to fight for them.”

With her stance on Medicare for All and a strong alliance with the Black Lives Matter movement, AOC is seen as a nuisance among center-left Democrats who favor liberal ideas but like to compromise with the right.

AOC said that some of her colleagues would appear to be supportive of her progressive causes in front of the media, but inside the chambers, she is met with hostility.

“Externally, there’s been a ton of support,” she said, according to The Times. “But internally, it’s been extremely hostile to anything that even smells progressive.”

The Bronx native said that fellow House members should embrace progressiveness, stating that “they’re just setting up their own obsolescence.”

AOC lashes out at Democratic party over lack of support: ‘I didn’t even know if I would run for re-election’

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has said that she might quit politics if Democrats continue to be “hostile” towards progressive causes.

In an interview with The New York Times, shortly after president-elect Joe Biden was declared the winner of the 2020 election, AOC admitted that she wasn’t even initially sure if she was going to run for reelection this year.

“I genuinely don’t know. I don’t even know if I want to be in politics,” she told the newspaper.

“You know, for real, in the first six months of my term, I didn’t even know if I was going to run for re-election this year.”

When asked why she he cited “stress”, “violence” and “lack of support from your own party” as among her reasons.

Ms Ocasio-Cortez was re-elected to her New York congressional seat by a large margin this week, early results showed.

The progressive congresswoman has become a rising star in the party and stands as an advocate for a universal single payer healthcare system and the Green New Deal.

She criticized Democrats for refusing to embrace progressive causes and signposted the emerging rift between the progressive and moderate ends of the party for her increasing disillusion with the party.

She's been super rattled at the backlash she and the squad are getting. Omar doesn't give a damn. The other two? I think they don't consider themselves in the same bundle, though Tlaib is.

This isn't just an idle insult. I have an indication where AOC might go:

http://www.granma.cu/mundo/2019-09-02/organizacion-socialista-mas-grande-de-estados-unidos-se-solidariza-con-cuba-02-09-2019-09-09-14

Largest socialist organization in the United States stands in solidarity with Cuba

The new declaration on Cuba was the result of the provisions of Resolution 62 of the biannual convention held by DSA from August 2 to 4 in Atlanta, Georgia.

According to an article published by The New York Times earlier that month, Democratic Socialists of America went from having 5,000 members three years ago to 56,000 today.

Its members include Democratic Congressmen Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Rashida Tlaib, as well as more than 20 local elected officials across the country.

As well as she should be! She should get the hint and perhaps try other avenues. Instead she becomes adamant, dismissive and talks of leaving?

Omar doesn't care as I truly believe she's anti-American. Tlaib isn't far off. I think they are all wrong for America, IMO.

Just make them all sorta turnover at the 8-10yr max, IMO. Term limits I am all for. Guaranteed to root out idiots that don't perform, and will also prevent lifers.

Nancy Pelosi once said that a glass of water could be elected in NY-14 if it ran as a Democrat. Now we have proof as we can attest to the current glass of water being re-elected.
