Considering deployments all year long, and the Holiday Leave periods beginning naturally around the 15th of EVERY December. Based on my own experience. There's no THERE there.

Somebody wants to have a conspiracy to talk about. The MASSIVE troop movements are not unusual during down times over holidays or upcoming Training Operations in all theaters around the World. Plus, we need to consider how the President has ordered DRAW-DOWNS of troops from many nations.
As for the Amphibious ships with the CARRIER GROUPS. That's also not unusual since WE are still looked upon as the World Cops ready for anything to happen.

I believe my 30 years in classified communications, and my still worthy memory of my navy career are still useful.
