View Full Version : Why is Reggaeton tolerated by Wokesters but not the 1950s mindset?

There's a dizzying level of outrage about "patriarchy", but not a peep about Reggaeton? It objectifies women more than traditionalism ever could (cool!). It DOMINATES Latin American radio. I can also see it creating a mentality that the music generates that this is how things are supposed to be.

"If you're going to bother me at his hour, I expect a blow job"

"I bounced you for someone else because you insisted on a condom". It also celebrates making women cry.

"Sensuality"

I could find TONS more.

The Brazilians, not wanting to be outdone. (In Portuguese)
"You go slut." "I want to slap that ass."

tailfins, you are always touting how Brazil and Latin American culture is superior to that of the U.S. Why are you not living in Brazil right now? Certainly you can make a living there just as easily as in this country. Especially now that Biden has won the White House. Wouldn't your family be more comfortable living under the benevolent rule of Bolsonaro? Especially with Covid-19 spiraling out of control in Brazil while the government looks the other way. --- https://oglobo.globo.com/

The USA has more then double, almost triple the COVID case count that Brazil has. Brazil "took the hit" early. For the time being, settling for Latino-heavy parts of Texas and visiting Latin America when I can is the best path. My sons are adults now. We have been on DP more years than you realize. Speaking of Texas, how's life treating you down in Pasadena?

Speaking of Texas, how's life treating you down in Pasadena? You live in Frisco, I live in Huntington Beach. I don't remember who came up with the other idea. I know you have lived in this country and been on DP for quite a while. I just thought that, with Dems taking over the White House, your quality of life might be better in Brazil. Your sons are adult, my daughter is an adult. Except I doubt that either of your offspring has become a liberal activist like mine has.

My oldest son has become focused in the Baptist Church. Neither of my sons voted in the 2020 election. My oldest said why vote, when the choice is between an adulterer and an pro-abortionist. My youngest doesn't care about politics. He says politics is not a productive interest. Both of them rather surprise me in that they have adapted quite well to modern US society. My youngest son stole his girlfriend from an abusive druggie. The dude came by our house and busted a glass bottle over his head. My son's only reaction was to file criminal charges against the dude and now the dude about to become a convicted felon. The dude apologized to ME profusely. I told him, "When we get done, the prosecutor is going to turn you every which way but loose. Your life is about to be turned upside down. You messed with the wrong people." He told me "Dad, thanks for teaching about lawfare (warfare using the law)". My youngest son's girlfriend told him that strategy worked really well because "Who wants to date a jailbird?".

The beauty of lawfare is that you can also use it on women!

The important thing is to allow your children to make their own life decisions. My daughter wants to be a musician. We have supported her all the way. She has had the same boyfriend for more than three years. He is a wonderful guy and we trust them to make their own musicians. They spent a week in Hawaii in the summer of 2019 without killing each other, so that is a good sign.
The beauty of lawfare is that you can also use it on women! It also works the other way. Just in case you haven't figured that out yet. :poke:

That's why living with an almost obsessive attention to detail is important. There are three kinds of lawfare: Criminal, Civil and regulatory. Let's say a manager at a restaurant won't act on your complaint. Check the expiration date on the fire extinguishers and if expired, report to the fire marshal. Report slippery floors to OHSA, etc. Most people miss so many details that you can figuratively cut them with a thousand cuts using TRUTHFUL details.
