For me it would have to be Dr. Alejandro Bolaños . When I studied in Missouri, Dr. Bolaños went from university to university on his own time and expense, alerting students, complete with slides from Nicaragua and in great detail explaining what life under Socialism is like. He covered lots of nuances and educated his listeners how to spot the advance of the Socialist agenda. Among other publications, he wrote "La Estafa Sandinista" (The Sandinista Scam).

Alejandro Bolaños Geyer was born in Masaya, Nicaragua on August 24, 1924. First-born son of Nicolás Bolaños Cortés and Amanda Geyer Abaunza. He married Patrica Davis of Saint Louis, Missouri with whom he had seven children: five boys and two girls. Of these: 27 grandchildren and many more great-grandchildren. He died in Managua, Nicaragua on May 25, 2005.

In exile from 1978-1995, he worked hard from his home in St. Charles, Missouri, United States, promoting and disseminating among the university, journalistic, governmental, religious and other intellectual media the truth of the events in Nicaragua of that time. To this end, he created the Nicaragua Information Center, published the Voice of Nicaragua newsletter, and gave numerous lectures.

My greatest influencer is-- "" History"".....
An in-depth study of history and its greatest leaders
teaches far more than any one leader ever could.
I can list just a few of the many that have influenced me--
Alexander the Great, Hannibal, Charlemagne, Cyrus the Great, Charles the Hammer,
John Paul Jones, Andrew Jackson, Napoleon, Robert E. Lee, Stonewall Jackson, Jeb Stuart, Churchill, MacArthur, Patton, etc... --Tyr

For me I had so so many folks over the years that slowly built up my knowledge. Reagan, Bush, Clinton, Bush... All the presidents I do learn something from, good or bad.

Writers on the internet. Far too many times I never even took note of who was writing, so credit would go to like 50 websites over the past 20 years. Some dropped off the radar and new sites came in.

And my Mom and Dad. Personal time of asking them a million questions. Dad is more conservative and always was. Mom was more left leaning and slowly moved right. She liked Clinton a lot! But then by the end she jumped on the Slick Willy stuff. But I would have to say I was influenced by them the most.

And then myself. As someone who really doesn't give a shit about the writers name, I would just gather as much as I possibly could to learn for myself and make my own educated decisions.
