Will mail-in ballots once again decide an election? Are they using Dominion machines here still or will/did they change them? Will we again see weird anomalies with the numbers as the election tallies take place? Will there be any obstruction for folks to properly monitor the counting from either side?

This will decide the direction of agendas for a minimum of the next 2 years, depending on how the senate performs, or doesn't.

The Numbers In Georgia Point Towards Two Tossup Races

Georgia’s Senate runoffs have drawn record spending, record turnout and national attention, setting the stage for two extremely close races on Jan. 5.

Republican Sen. David Perdue faces Jon Ossoff, his Democratic challenger, after both finished just under the 50% needed to avoid a runoff in November, while Republican Sen. Kelly Loeffler faces Democratic Rev. Raphael Warnock after they earned the most support in a jungle primary featuring over 20 candidates.

The two races will determine whether Republicans can hold their slim Senate majority, likely preventing President-elect Joe Biden from passing much of his proposed agenda once he takes office, or whether Democrats can achieve a 50-50 Senate split, giving Vice President-elect Kamala Harris the tie-breaking vote and Biden’s party full control of Congress as a result.

Georgia’s runoffs have already seen record turnout since early voting began Dec. 14. Nearly 1.7 million votes have already been cast, according to the U.S. Elections Project (https://electproject.github.io/Early-Vote-2020G/GA_RO.html), amounting to nearly 20% of the state’s registered voters. Approximately 76,000 Georgians who did not vote in November had registered to vote in January’s election before the state’s Dec. 7 deadline.

The GOP has a modest advantage in money, polling and less than expected turnout of Democrat leaning demographics in early voting. The GOP is poised to win if Trump doesn't piss in the soup.

If 1.7 million have already voted, that does not bode well for Republicans. Since more Dems tend to vote early. The GOP has a definite edge unless Trump diehards decide to boycott the election in protest.

It won't be Cult 45 that throws the election. It will be Republican leaning voters that get no COVID relief at all. Trump should sign the damn bill already.

No he shouldn't sign it until changes are made.

Give all the pork money to the covid relief portion. Don't raise the amount of the bill ... just reallocate to relief portion of the bill.

If the GOP ran the House, sure. We're lucky that the other side doesn't demand a full bailout of government employee pension shortfalls in IL, NY and CA as well as full reinstatement of State And Local Tax deductions. These months of impasse make make obvious that dictating to the other side is not an option.

How do they know they are black or white voters? How do they know they are male or female? How do they know the age? Where do they get these stats? Are they marking names off voter lists to match ballots?

Also, why are there more votes from blacks than are in the voting pool.

About 55% of early voters are white and 32% are Black, which is a slightly higher proportion of Black voters than the overall pool of all registered voters.
