So I have a 3 gallon fish tank in my room, beautiful little tank IMO:

So I bought a cool little Betta for the tank which was $27.99. He was a little expensive as it was a "Koi Betta" raised to look like a Koi. Had him about 3 weeks or so. But then I wake 2 days ago and he was gone!! There was a slight opening at the top and he must have jumped out. Trust me, searched everywhere and took out all the filtration and what not, he ain't in there. But I also can't find him anywhere either???? WTF??

Then yesterday I am messing with my 2 other tanks and I noticed something on the ground in front of them. Was one of my little loaches (eel like suckers). But they are bottom dwellers and certainly not jumpers. How the hell did he get on my floor?

But what the man taketh the man replaceth...

Found this yesterday and he was bouncing around and then landed here and I got a pic. Can't be but a week old max! This is zoomed in bigtime!

Well, top one is now just an empty little nano tank.

The bottom, that's a baby lobster aka crayfish actually. Like 20 still in there. They keep reproducing as quickly as the older suckers go into molten stage and then the others all eat him/her.

dang fish tank. For some unfathomable reason, Jim is fascinated with these creatures. :laugh2:

And still trying to get my snail for you!

He's a huge snail, and like a slug inside. So when on the glass, it's a big brown slug like thing that crawls the tank and eats your algae. But he kinda looks like a stingray, has eyeballs and a mouth of course!!

Its hard getting that photo as it wants to focus on the background, but I'll get him yet!! Gonna try now, just for you!!

Can't find him. He's down on the gravel and mixing in, so doesn't stand out. Too hard to find unless on the glass. But here's a few babies I zoomed in on, hanging on some driftwood! And then I was lucky to find a baby cruising around on the glass!! I'll find the big guy though. He can't jump and is only a harmless little snail! Is weird though when he's hidden in plain sight and you take awhile to find him (or her).

I put in stream gravel a long time back which is basically colored rock. Then a few small stones used in areas to help keep the driftwood down when I bought it.

Here's a couple of babies chatting with their morning coffee:

Here's a baby cleaning the glass for me:

And just for you, I tried to at least get up close on a baby moving along helping me out:

Wait, I found him! But luck for you again, he's just hanging there and I can't find the eyeballs, only his mouth open.

They got no teeth! Can't barely see an eyeball at all. They couldn't attack you if their lives depended on it. All they do is move at about .0000000000000000000025 MPH and clean. I just wish I could teach them to do so outside of the water!! :laugh2:

Do you think one of your puppies ate the fish that jumped out?

Only tangentially related. I recall someone on another forum raised a special shrimp that grew fairly big from a baby shrimp in his tank for however long it takes until he gets to the correct size...

And then he cooked it up and ate it. He was a chef IIRC.

You could have some escargot happening there.

I mean, anything could have happened, but the only one in this room ever is the 16yr old Chihuahua and he's finicky as it is, don't think he would have. Plus he's like 50% blind or so, I dunno. But still can't find him, so a possibility!! But my eyes suck too and wife refuses to help!!

I actually heard quite a few of those stories! LOL At least most folks will cook them up somehow to get like one bite - so better than those who alternatively like to maybe eat a goldfish. :puke:

** Side note, after re-doing my tank to an extent I just made a fishy order online. Bunch of different color Tetra's, catfish, 2 bushynose pleco's & 8 amano shrimp for that tank! They are another that is great for algae! But instead of the glass, they like the plants and gravel. And they don't just eat algae, they will eat left over food and even the fishies poop!

Ok, no more eating them!! Besides, that was FJ!! :poke:
