Oh no! That would be terrible! But all the tubing does is give a little extra oxygen in there. They can go without it. :)

Yeah, they do look a little gross when zoomed in for photos. But even though they may resemble slugs but in a shell, they are about as harmless as a slug too.

Unless maybe you eat one maybe?

But I know a guy who ate a few of them (slugs) back in high school. Truth! On bets both times.

I wouldn't eat a snail though, too crunchy probably.
