There are ways to install apps on Android without the using Google Play. Upon request, I can post a tutorial on how to do that. Someone in Cuba taught me how to do that because internet is not readily available and people often share apps via bluetooth. However, there's also a way to do it by downloading a file to a thumb drive. Just for laughs, I may try to install the banned Parler app on my phone.

Google and Apple are cracking down on the Parler social networking app two days after a mob of Trump supporters stormed the US Capitol (https://www.cnet.com/news/mob-storms-capitol-as-facebook-twitter-roles-come-under-fire/). Parler has been rife with violent comments (https://www.cnet.com/news/parler-rife-with-talk-of-guns-and-violence-before-capitol-riot/) since before the attack on the Capitol.
Apple told Parler it'll ban the social network's app from its app store if Parler doesn't start to moderate its content better, BuzzFeed reported (https://www.buzzfeednews.com/article/ryanmac/apple-threatens-ban-parler) Friday. Google removed Parler's Android app from its Play Store on Friday, saying it'll remain banished until Parler improves moderation.
