After banning Trump and some other conservatives, many folks bailed and followed along to Parler. I had stated they wouldn't go until he did. All in all though, how much will it harm Twitter? They have billions of users. It is nice to see Parler growing now though, even if it's a place to get the word and news out, and have open discussions without censorship.
But enter Google and Apple, both trying to keep it off of their markets to prevent the app from being on millions/billions of phones.
Alternate sites are nice. They will not only need to build an app - if they want to keep it free of censorship - they will need to lay out complete instructions for all visitors in how to download the app, how to negotiate various phones in order to accept 3rd party apps & then how to install them and with what application if necessary. All a lot harder without the markets. Unless maybe someone can also develop a market of sorts, that not only keeps apps in a central location (doesn't have to be many), but have it install on phones. Not even sure how possible it is.
I tried a bunch of things today which I'll reply in Tailfins thread that I saw.
For me - I'm up on Parler in a few ways, but next is trying to get friends and family to move over. Those interested anyway, no yanking arms from me, top each their own.

Twitter Purge: Conservative Social Media Personalities Report Losing Thousands of Followers
Since Twitter banned President Donald Trump this week, prominent conservative voices on the platform users are reporting that they’ve lost tens of thousands of followers.
Breitbart News recently reported that Twitter banned President Trump permanently, saying in a statement: “After close review of recent Tweets from the @realDonaldTrump account and the context around them we have permanently suspended the account due to the risk of further incitement of violence.”
Now, multiple prominent conservatives on Twitter are claiming that they’ve lost a large number of followers since President Trump’s ban. A few examples can be seen below:

In response, a number of users announced that they would be leaving Twitter with many moving to the popular app Parler.
