It's amazing how some of them reproduce!

Some of them are typical Mommies and have their babies internal for a set amount of time before they're ready for public life! And others will lay eggs and then Mommy or Daddy will scoop them up and hold them in their mouth until birth. Others yet just find a place to drop their eggs and then Mommy will go into protective mode over them until they are born.

This is a larger cichlid, the coolest fish from Africa usually. Looks like this sucker comes up for an easy meal of a hundred babies or so!

But she's not eating them, she's sucking them in for protection this time.
