Where to start?

Using a box as a conduit is illegal. I don't think the NEC specifically addresses running a water pipe through a box simply because it's beyond the stupid test level. I can honestly say I don't know any electricians that would be that stupid, and I have known some stupid ones. We get nervous when someone has a bottle of water around an open panel or the ground is wet.

I see no ground. Even going old school using the neutral as the ground, the neutral bar would still be grounded.

Making joints inside a panel is not legal. If you need joints, you have to set a separate j-box outside the panel so the wire entering the panel goes clean to the breaker/lug.

Believe it or not, that mud dauber nest or whatever it is on the wire is incidental to the job. Ants are the worst. They are attracted to the vibration of the electricity, as most insects are also drawn to the warmth from it.

That white wire, which is the color for the neutral/return only, coming off a breaker would bother me. Then again, I suspect anyone running their garden hose through the panel isn't going to bat an eye wire color.

My question would have to be: Why? What exactly are you achieving by running your plumbing through an electrical panel? I can't think of anything that would be worth the risk.

Before my entrance into Uncle Sam's Confused Group (lol) I was an electrician. Some of the crap I've seen was amazing, but this one takes the cake :laugh2:

The most disturbing thing about this picture is it is actually a picture of the most recent cat scan of Bidan’s brain.

Obviously this is part of "The Green New Deal" routing water and electric through a common box saves space and energy. What could possibly go wrong?

Poke your head into the entrance of apartment buildings in Havana. Your photo will depict the rule rather than the exception.

Here, apartment-house central wiring runs your blood cold – and the only modern contribution is the state meter to accurately gather the relevant charging information

Some of the more unscrupulous (is there any after seeing that job?) might even claim that it can also be a preheater for the water :coffee::coffee:
