Good ol’ Delaware. They administered thousands of vaccines to high risk folks (me included), and then decided they didn’t have enough to give the 2nd dose in the 3 week time frame that Pfizer has stated as the tested and correct protocol. Instead, they prefer to vaccinate as many folks as possible with their 1st shot, and worry about the 2nds later.

So who knows when we will get the required 2nd dose, and what it means to get it later than testing dictates. For all we know, the 1st dose protection will peter out without the 2nd. And you cannot mix doses with another manufacturer’s vaccine. I was glad to get the 52-80% protection of the 1st dose, so I get the argument, but I think it’s wrong. We may end up having to start all over, and in the end waste thousands of these vaccines, and/ have people at highest risk thinking they are protected when they are not. .

I’m so tired of it all.

I think there's less magic in the 3 weeks than they tell us. But there are different ways to do it and I'm not sure that they're doing it the wrong way.

https://youtu.be/OZ3DubRHSVoThey gave us the anthrax vaccine the same way. Series of 3. IIRC, second was 30 days after 1st, then the 3rd 3 or 6 months later. I don't know what the "magic" is or was, but I'll remain as skeptical of that as anything else the Federal bureaucracy gets it's dirty hands on.

I don't know either but I'm sure there's math involved. The shingles vaccine involves two shots too. But I do know, or at least am pretty sure, that there's less federal bureaucracy in this than in most other vaccine creation. trump, etc. waived a lot of rules. I don't have any problem getting the vaccine once it gets down to my level.

Reminds me of 1980. We got the biggest raise in the military percentage wise that I recall minus promotions. Reagan got all the glory for it. Jimmy Carter signed off on the budget and pay raise, not Reagan.

I don't have much option. I'm going to have to go into an assisted living home and they require it. You know, I'll have to have my papers in order to see my own brother:rolleyes:

OTOH, I really don't and haven't sat in judgement much about the mask/vaccine debate. It comes down to personal necessity and choice based on individual situations and beliefs. I hate the masks with a passion; especially, since they have been politicized. I would like to see their purpose removed. This vaccine doesn't appear to address that.

Comes a point in time when it's damn your politics and do what's right for the People. The bureaucrats in DC and the money that pulls their strings apparently don't see it that way.

Nope! I'll not take the first shot for these reasons.

1. This is NOT a preventative! As I understand it it's like the Flu vaccine, it just reduces the severity of symptoms IF you acquire the virus.

But the BIG one is

2.THE FDA STILL classifies the vaccine as EXPERIMENTAL!

I donno about you folks but I'm no lab rat.

I may be wrong about #1 but I don't think so.

I am also curious as to why so many in the medical field are not taking it and much more.

Just sayin
