And it's beyond obvious this time around the power grabs being done and the lack of any unity and desire to work with others. They have an advantage for 4 years mainly and will use that time to push through as much BS as they can, so as to help with taking and keeping of power and their agendas going forward.

Packing the SC
Making D.C. a State for more reps for them
Push through voting changes in their best interest
Fight with all they have against any and all audits
Opening the border and allowing almost anyone in
Now pushing through all kinds of climate change BS

Democrats’ Latest Power Grab Attempt

House Democrats’ latest D.C. statehood scheme is far from their first attempt to achieve statehood for the district, but it does share a commonality with the efforts that came before it: they’re all unconstitutional.

When the Democrat-controlled House of Representatives first rejected the idea in 1960, they settled on a compromise and created the 23rd Amendment which grants D.C. votes in the Electoral College as if it were a state. If D.C. were to be granted statehood without the 23rd Amendment being repealed, these three Electoral College votes would be granted to a small enclave consisting only of the first family, a reality former Attorney General Robert F. Kennedy described as “inconceivable” and one that would “produce an absurdity.”

In fact, Robert Kennedy wasn’t the only Democrat voicing concerns about the constitutionality of achieving D.C. statehood through legislation. Every Justice Department for the past 60 years has come to the conclusion that D.C. cannot be granted statehood without a constitutional amendment. Even current House Majority Leader, Steny Hoyer (D-MD), voted against legislation in 1993 that would have done exactly what his own party is considering this week.

So what’s changed?

Put simply, Democrats have made D.C. statehood about consolidating power and enacting radical policies.

Democrats would have you believe that their argument is based on simply expanding voting representation for district residents, but several alternatives to statehood exist for D.C. to obtain voting representation in Congress and Democrats aren’t interested in any of them.

What they really want are two more Senate seats, so they can jam through radical policies like enacting the Green New Deal, eliminating the filibuster, packing the Supreme Court, and defunding the police.

And Democrats aren’t hesitant to voice this position out loud. Congressman Jamie Raskin (D-MD) was recently quoted saying, “[T]here’s a national political logic for [D.C. statehood], too, because the Senate has become the principal obstacle to social progress across a whole range of issues.”

That doesn’t exactly support their ‘representation’ argument.

Make no mistake about it, H.R. 51 is just Democrats’ latest attempt at a power grab. This unconstitutional bill is a façade to give President Biden, Speaker Pelosi, and Leader Schumer the power to further intrude into Americans’ daily lives and push their radical policies through Congress.

Sen. Cruz: Democrats' Priority Is 'To Stay in Power Forever'

(CNSNews.com) - Anyone who disagrees with Democrats on any issue, including their attempted power grab, "is racist" nowadays, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) told Fox News on Friday:

You know, people talk about playing the race card. It is the only card they have in their deck, and so that’s their standard attack.

And D.C. statehood. Their push here is part of a broader effort. We have Democratic control of the White House and both houses of Congress and their number one priority – it’s not COVID, it’s not vaccinations, it’s not reopening jobs, it’s not getting kids back in school. It’s not doing anything substantive. Their number one priority is they want to stay in power forever.

So you look at what they’re pushing. They are pushing D.C. statehood, why? Because they want two new Democratic senators. They’re pushing HR 1, what many are calling the corrupt politicians act, because they want to federalize elections – they wat to register millions of illegal aliens and felons to vote and keep Democrats in power for the next hundred years.

And they want to pack the U.S. Supreme court and add four new left wing justices because they want to change the rules and maintain power. That's their priority and it’s not what they should be doing.

Cruz said the chances of a D.C. statehood bill or a court-packing bill passing Congress are "zero," but only if the Senate filibuster rule remains in effect:

If it is the case that it takes 60 votes to move forward, which has been the case in the Senate for a long, long time, then both of those are dead on arrival. The Democrats know that. That's why they want to change, blow up the Senate rules, end the filibuster in order to change the fundamental election rules.

And so it all comes down to really Joe Manchin and Krysten Sinema, two Democrats, the lone two Democrats who have said they wouldn’t end the filibuster. If they end the filibuster they will make D.C. a state. If they end the filibuster, they will pack the Supreme Court.

This is all about power, and it’s why there’s so much pressure on those two Democratic senators.

I think the main thing that has changed is that the Dems just got together and said:
"Hey, wait, what if we just don't give a crap about the Constitution? Yeah, that's it, if the entire Democratic Party just doesn't give a crap about the Constitution then we could try to make DC as state!"

Please note: the preceding paragraph should not be interpreted as implying that the Democratic Party ever in the past gave a crap about the Constitution. They never did, it's just that now they are trying to legislate with that as the basis.
