Just got back from local high school football game.....our school played the undefeated defending state champions....the game ended 28-30 with our loss.....

what would have been the winning touchdown scored when they bobbled a 4th down punt....I think the ball changed hands four times before someone got a firm grip on it and ran it into the end zone....in the excitement a player on the sidelines 40 yards away accidentally stepped into the neutral zone reserved for the coaches.....and the ever vigilent ref called the touchdown back......the other team got a second chance to punt.....

but no worries, we marched the ball down field.....at 4th and 8 on the 9 yard line, with 1:40 left on the clock, they go for the pass and make it out of bounds....it's complete....and the ref spots the ball.....one inch short of a first down.....

Ouch--- is the ref in a federal protection program yet?
