Then don't try to train and enter the olympics. Then don't tune in if you don't like it. But the racism BS doesn't float. Not for me, not in sports.

Victims. :rolleyes::rolleyes:

The face of the United States Olympic team is the massive amount of athletes you will see during the opening ceremonies. There were 560 of them in the last summer Olympic games. Carrying the American flag and uniforms to represent our country. The face is ALL OF THEM collectively.

Simone Biles is a fantastic gymnast! Richardson is a little speed demon. And Gwen Berry is nothing more than an embarrassment at this point. To claim just a few folks of one race are the face of the olympics is a slap in the face to hundreds of others who trained their entire lives to be here.

I think, some that just missed out on the games - should now replace the America haters.

Jemele Hill Says Olympic Rules ‘Disproportionately Impact Athletes of Color’

Atlantic writer and former ESPN host Jemele Hill insisted on Sunday that Olympic rules tend to “disproportionately” hurt “athletes of color.”

Hill made her comments during an interview with CBS This Morning on Sunday accusing the rules governing the conduct of Olympic athletes of being discriminatory.

The columnist commented on a recently invoked rule by the International Olympics Committee that prevented the use of a swimming cap specifically designed for the hairstyles of blacks.

Last week, for instance, Hill attacked the IOC in a Friday tweet saying that the games are “really are sending quite the message to black women” since the ban of the swim caps and the sanctions against runner Sha’Carri Richardson, who has been given a suspension for marijuana use.

During her visit with CBS This Morning, though, Hill insisted that the black athlete is the “face of the games” for Americans because of Simone Biles, Gwen Berry, Sha’Carri Richardson, and the swim cap decision.

As to the swim cap, Olympic authorities banned the used of the bulkier “Soul Cap” made specifically to encapsulate black hair styles because, in the words of the rules, swim caps must “fit the natural form of the head,” not the hair.

The real problem is the Olympics has rules, and blacks disproportionally have to cry about any and all rules they have to follow like everyone else. If some white kid got busted for pot, and there probably are more than a couple, we wouldn't hear about it.

The swim cap is to support aerodynamics in the water, not some stupid hair do. But by all means let's make it about skin color:rolleyes:
