UPDATED 9:24 AM PT – Tuesday, August 3, 2021Afghan President Ashraf Ghani is condemning the Biden administration for the lack of peace in the Middle East. While addressing lawmakers inside the Parliament of Afghanistan on Monday, the Afghan president blamed Joe Biden for pulling out American troops too quickly.
Over the last three months, Taliban fighters have been advancing throughout the country while threatening key cities and placing pressure on Afghan forces. Ghani said the speedy pullout has intensified violence throughout the country due to growing terrorist attacks.
“The situation which we are facing is due to the sudden withdrawal decision,” he stated. “I told the American president that I respect your decision because it was his decision, but I knew that this decision will have some consequences and the crisis management will be put on Afghans.”
Ghani then shed a cast of doubt on peace talks with the terrorist organization. He warned if the Taliban isn’t willing to negotiate, their fighters will be met with violent force.
“This peace process created doubt and ambiguity, and its result is the situation which we and you see,” stated the Afghan president. “I want to repeat here that our priority in republic lines is a lasting or just peace, but unfortunately I see the Taliban and their supporters intend sedition.”

In an effort to counter the terrorist attacks, Ghani announced a plan in hopes of “achieving stability” throughout the country within next six months. Despite the growing threat of terror, the Biden administration is still committed to completely withdrawing U.S. forces by September.

The Afghan gov had TWENTY years to get their SHIT together!

A total of 2,312 US military personnel in Afghanistan have died and 20,066 have been wounded since 2001.

Why?

Just sayin

I can answer part of the why....
The old and well used tie their hands behind their backs agenda that the dems have been pushing since it was their flavor during the Vietnam war..
And when it comes to our military--which they hate- they have never let up from using that agenda.
They are the main reason our forces have not since WW2 --ever fought totally all out to win and win quickly.
Of course Desert Storm was fought very well with massive win at all cost forces but we had a coalition of forces, but that is the rare exception, imho.
But for most of the last 49 years-the ffing dem party -- has hampered our forces and caused thousands of deaths and injuries!
And as we see with Biden and how the dems just pulled out in the middle of rthe night-- setting a stage that looked like we --ran away- afraid...
And that was deliberate on their part...

We had the power to win Vietnam war and every conflict since but one lousy treasonous party made sure we were held back.. -Tyr

Just sayinThe opportunity to get out with our face intact got lost with the mission: 1. Find bin Laden and kill him. 2. Punish the Taliban for hiding bin Laden. We kicked the Taliban's asses into Pakistan. Sounds like "punished" to me.

Then we got lost trying to build an artificial nation to suit US tastes.

Veer from the mission and get bogged down. When you further bog yourself down in a quagmire of your own making, you're in a World of your own shit. No way you're leaving without being covered in your own shit.

As far as leaving, bugging out is the exact right way to do it from a US Cmdr's perspective. His mission is get everyone home alive. Bug out as fast as possible and leave as little as possible for the enemy to fuck with. Can't tell the Afghans. Might as well announce your intentions over a loud speaker.

Can't really blame Biden for how it was done. Odds are better than good this JCS' plan.
