UPDATED 6:34 PM PT – Sunday, August 8, 2021New York Lt. Gov. Kath Hochul (D) has reportedly been making preparations to lead the Empire State on the chance embattled Democrat Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D-N.Y.) were to step down or be ousted from office. According to reports on Sunday, Hochul sought advice on potential hires as well as who to keep from Cuomo’s administration.
The lieutenant governor has been said to believe she could end up in the governor’s office in a matter of weeks. However, Hochul has yet to be informed of Cuomo’s plans.
The Democrat would become the first female governor in state history if Cuomo resigned or was removed from office by the state legislature.

Don't know a thing about this person beyond "NY Dem" which is enough for a burial where I'm from. One of you Yankees from up there will have to fill in all the dirt. "Better than Cuomo" isn't going to be much of an answer, but surely a selling point. Kind of like "most popular guy in prison":rolleyes:
