If paid in inflation-proof silver coins (sixty silver dollars), that would be $1200 in today's money which is still much cheaper than what's being charged now.

That means that the minimum wage has gone down, from a silver dollar to less than a silver half dollar using 20x face value as a ballpark number.

Looks like my military retirement check :laugh:
