Biden was given quite a few warnings as things got closer - and proceeded as-is. And this is going to only get worse should any Americans get killed by the Taliban or Isis.

Approval is going down and calls for his resignation continue to grow.

Afghan President Warned of Taliban ‘Invasion’ but Joe Biden Focused on ‘Perception’

A leaked transcript and audio recording of a call between President Joe Biden and then-Afghan President Ashraf Ghani about three weeks before Kabul fell showed that as the Afghan president warned of a Taliban “invasion,” Biden pressed him to change the “perception.”

According to a report by Reuters, in a 14 minute call between Biden and Ghani on July 23, the Afghan president told Biden, “We are facing a full-scale invasion, composed of Taliban, full Pakistani planning and logistical support, and at least 10-15,000 international terrorists.”

But Biden on the call pressed Ghani to publicly project he had a plan to control the worsening situation in Afghanistan in order to receive air support. According to Reuters:

In the call, Biden offered aid if Ghani could publicly project he had a plan to control the spiraling situation in Afghanistan. “We will continue to provide close air support, if we know what the plan is,” Biden said.

Majority of Voters Say Joe Biden Should Resign over Botched Afghanistan Withdrawal

A majority of voters believe President Biden should resign over his administration’s botched withdrawal from Afghanistan, a Rasmussen Reports survey released Wednesday found.

The survey asked respondents, “Should President Joe Biden resign because of the way the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan was handled?”

Overall, a majority, or 52 percent, said “yes,” Biden should resign, while 39 percent said he should not. Opinions over Biden resigning are sharply divided along party lines, as three-quarters of Republicans say he should — a sentiment held by nearly one-third of Democrats, 32 percent, and a plurality of independents, 48 percent.

Many Americans, Afghan Allies Left in Afghanistan ‘Have a Price on Their Heads’

During Wednesday’s “Stephanie Ruhle Reports” on MSNBC, Rep. Seth Moulton (D-MA) addressed the ongoing crisis in Afghanistan in which hundreds of U.S. citizens and Afghan allies were left behind in the Taliban-run country.

According to Moulton, who has warned of the Taliban “hunting” people, many of the Americans and Afghan allies still in Afghanistan “have a price on their heads” now that the terrorists have seized control.

“I heard a report of a teacher who was there ostensibly to help educate Afghans — didn’t find a way to the airport. As you said, it was incredibly chaotic. There are great stories of the Taliban letting people through. There are also many tragic stories I have heard of the Taliban stopping people from getting to the airport. It sounds like that’s what happened to this teacher. And so, he’s stuck there, and he doesn’t know how we’re going to get him out. And our responsibility in Washington is to have a plan for that. It’s to have a plan for where we go forward, and the number one first step is to get these Americans and the Afghan allies that we left behind out to freedom and safety because many of them have a price on their heads,” Moulton advised.

Even CNN Blasts Biden for Abandoning Americans With 'Broken Promise'

On the occasion of the last U.S. troops leaving Afghanistan—and in a marked departure from its traditional pro-Biden bias—CNN blasted President Biden on Tuesday for abandoning American citizens trapped in the country.

New Day co-host John Berman opened today's show by speaking of Biden's "broken promise." Adding, "He said the US would stay to get them out. The U.S. did not stay."

Here's more of Berman:

President Biden will address the nation this afternoon to mark the end of America’s longest war... As many as 200 Americans remain in the country, and that represents a broken promise from President Biden. He said the U.S. would stay to get them out. The US did not stay. There are thousands of Afghan allies in the country still as well.

In a subsequent dialogue with substitute host Kaitlin Collins, a clip was played of Biden's recent interview with George Stephanopoulos of ABC News in which Biden said,

"If there's American citizens left, we're going to stay until we get them all out."

Observed Berman:

"That was pretty unambiguous: if there are American citizens still there who want to get out, the United States will not leave. The US is gone, and there are still American citizens who want to get out."

He had knowledge ahead of time. They even knew about the suicide bomber and denied ability to take him out with a drone. Instead, killed 13 Americans.

He knew what was taking place as they withdrew & basically asked the Afghan president to lie.

Afghan President Rebuffed Biden’s Request to Falsely Claim Taliban Were Losing: ‘Mr. President, We Are Facing a Full-Scale Invasion’

President Joe Biden pressured Afghan President Ashraf Ghani to paint a picture of his country that suggested it was winning its war against the Taliban in the weeks leading up to the United States’ withdrawal, according to a transcript of their final phone call published on Tuesday.

“I need not tell you the perception around the world and in parts of Afghanistan, I believe, is that things are not going well in terms of the fight against the Taliban,” Biden said in his final phone call with the Afghan leader before Afghanistan’s fall, according to a transcript published by Reuters.

“There is a need, whether it is true or not, there is a need to project a different picture,” Biden said.

The 14-minute call took place on July 14. The Taliban overran Kabul on August 15, prompting Ghani to flee from his presidential palace the same day.

The transcript showed Ghani taking a skeptical view of Biden’s argument that trying to change public perception would alter reality on the ground. “Mr. President, we are facing a full-scale invasion,” Ghani replied, “composed of Taliban, full Pakistani planning and logistical support, and at least 10-15,000 international terrorists, predominantly Pakistanis thrown into this, so that dimension needs to be taken account of.”
