Not really. HC insurance in this country has little relation to "insurance" any more because it's been bastardized by government regulations, etc. for decades; starting with HC insurance being tied to employment in the first place. There's a reason that HC costs have risen to stratospheric heights and that's in large part due to government regulation and interference. The industries with the most regulations increase the most in cost, HC and education. The way to fix HC is not to double down on an already proven-failed model and start again from the ground up. Most HC costs, via Medicare, are spent in the last days of life and that is the end of the HC industry that has the most government involvement. Massive deregulation of the HC industry is the only way.
