This is good.

"Former President George W. Bush will hold a fundraiser next month for the embattled Rep. Liz Cheney, R-Wyo., whose criticisms of former President Donald Trump have put her political career in jeopardy.

The Wall Street Journal reported Wednesday (https://www.wsj.com/articles/liz-cheneys-re-election-bid-pits-trump-against-bush-11632303001?mod=hp_listb_pos2) that Bush’s first campaign event of the 2022 midterms will be in support of Cheney. Her father, Dick Cheney, served two terms as Bush’s vice president. The fundraiser will take place in Dallas on Oct. 18.

His support of Cheney puts Bush at odds with Trump and his allies, who have targeted Cheney since she voted for his impeachment after the violence at the Capitol on Jan. 6. Cheney has also been outspoken in pushing back against Trump’s claims that the 2020 election was stolen, repeatedly rebutting the former president’s baseless conspiracy theories. A Yahoo News/YouGov poll (https://news.yahoo.com/poll-two-thirds-of-republicans-still-think-the-2020-election-was-rigged-165934695.html) in August found that two-thirds of Republicans still believe the election was rigged."

The GOP is going to have make some tough choices, and Liz is one of them. The debate on her foreshadows a larger on the direction of the party.

Which way does the GOP want to go.

I can vote for a Haley or Cheney, not for a DeSantis.

I pretty much think that right or wrong, good or bad, people are pretty much done with the 90's Republican't/neocon "Contract with America" (still unfulfilled) bunch. I have. They aren't the worst only because the Dems ARE :poke:

It's going to be big problem and I'm not counting on this "shoe-in" 2022/2024 which should rightly happen. The Republicans will screw it up for themselves.
