Bidenflation Unexpectedly Accelerated in August to Fastest Pace in Over 30 Years

Inflation unexpectedly accelerated in August, as shortages of a wide range of consumer goods and services drove up prices.

The Personal Consumption Price Index for August increased 4.3 percent from one year ago, reflecting increases in the prices paid by consumers for both goods and services, Commerce Department data showed Friday. That is the fastest pace of inflation since January 1991.

Energy prices increased 24.9 percent from the depressed levels of a year ago. Food prices jumped 2.8 percent.

Core PCE prices, excluding food and energy, rose 3.6 percent compared with a year ago. That is also the fastest pace since 1991.

Is there anything he’s touched that hasn’t turned into a dumpster fire?

Is there anything he’s touched that hasn’t turned into a dumpster fire?Nope. That's why there's no real MSM coverage past couple of weeks, IMO. If they can't talk about the Biden's disasters, they can't really talk about Biden. So we get stories about lost turks and Dog the Booty Hunter on Page 1's.

It's skyrocketing across the board up here at an alarming rate.

$5 Trillion. They're linked.

And watch the supercharged effect on inflation if the idiots manage to get them passed.

Bernie Sanders is beside himself that his socialist wet dream of a spending bill is fading away. I imagine that we'll see him and AOC weeping next to a chain link fence when it collapses.

True. But I think some of the seeds of inflation were laid with trump jawboning the Powell at the Fed. Just like the "Nixon" inflation of the 70s was laid with LBJ jawboning that Fed chairman.

Just stating one of the things i recall from the mid-late 60s was inflation was in the news daily.

Nixon spent money and enlarged government like a Democrat.

Meat, eggs, tv, paper goods, all have huge price increases, that I've noticed.

Meat, eggs, tv, paper goods, all have huge price increases, that I've noticed. That's the way this works. Staples/necessities go up. Expendable income goes down. The "luxury item providers" then scramble to squeeze what's left out of you. Income never keeps up.

The someone like Bill Clinton comes along and slaps a new/higher tax on what he has decided are "luxury" items.

Suddenly, we go from making it comfortably to double-checking every expenditure. The "winners" are those who provide necessities and the Government because the Government taxes all of it.

Annoys me that they can "fix" the economy when it works for them, but then play hands off, "let capitalism run its course" when it would be in our favor.

So come this winter if you want to stay warm, eat or drive it is going to cost a lot more. This will hit middle and lower income class the most. The donor class and elites don’t care.
