OAN Newsroom
UPDATED 1:50 PM PT – Friday, October 8, 2021A Florida parent received a standing ovation after calling for a mass exodus from the public school system. Quisha King’s declaration came during during the annual “Pray, Vote, Stand” summit in Virginia on Thursday.
King said she believed a mass exodus would send the message that the liberal education system did not have the right to indoctrinate children. Her comments came as a reaction to Attorney General Merrick Garland’s announcement the FBI would criminalize parents who have spoken out at school board meetings.
“With this FBI thing, it just made me realize what else are we supposed to do? Standing up to these people doesn’t seem to matter,” she expressed. “I mean, we have, all of us, we’ve been at these school board meetings, we’ve been voicing our opinions, we’re writing articles, we’re emailing teachers. We’re doing all that stuff and they don’t care. I’m like the only thing left to do is to just peace out.”

King went on to concede it may be difficult for most families to pull their children out of public school, but a coordinated exodus all at once was necessary in this moment to send a clear message. King previously drew national attention in June for publicly speaking out against critical race theory and now worked with the group Moms for Liberty.

The Department of Justice (https://www.foxnews.com/category/politics/justice-department) announced its labeling of parents speaking out against woke school (https://www.foxnews.com/category/us/education) curriculum as "domestic terrorists" and Parents Defending Education vice president of strategy Asra Nomani refuses to allow her fellow parents to be victimized by the government.
Nomani, a Virginia parent and Indian immigrant, shared with "Fox News Primetime (https://www.foxnews.com/shows/fox-news-primetime)" how she had lived in poverty as an English as a second language student. Now, immigrant parents in her community have been told to "check their privileges" just because their children attend good schools like Nomani’s own son.
"That’s when I woke up and realized they were putting a target on the backs of parents," she said. "And now we have that confirmed with this ridiculous justice department declaration of war on us."

As I said a day or so ago, sending kids to some, even most public schools could be seen as child abuse.

Nope.Easily. Depends on whose porch you're looking at it from. I consider CRT child abuse. It's teaching children flat out lies as truth.

I think the case was well made 30, 40 years ago, the homeschoolers (and parochial schools ) saw it then, got the Heck out and tried to warn others.

slow burn for many others but the sparks are flyin' now.
