View Full Version : I have my own theory about Colin Kaepernick

Everyone thinks this all started by Colin planning and then kneeling during the national anthem during a game.

Not true though.

The week prior he sat on the bench during another game.

So many think that this is where it started, as he gave comments about it when asked after the game. This was August 26th, 2016.

Not then.

Was the week prior on the 20th, when he sat.

Nope.

He really sat in a preseason game on the 14th of August.

My theory... even though things were injury related (from the prior year), but he was royally sucking on the field and average at best when playing well - that year they then held him out, and he sat during anthem. Then again. Then the 3rd time he spoke out after the game. But nothing prior - just sour grapes and sitting during the anthem.

I think it all started with just that, sour grapes, so he rebelled a little by sitting and doing the same quite often during the game. It wasn't until nearly 3 weeks in that he spoke up his oppressed crap.

So I think he started for one reason and then lead it into another if that makes any sense the way I explained?

If I read you right, he was seeking other attention because his playing was below-par? I’d agree.

I think he was angry at sucking and then being benched is beneath him. He was solely pissed at not playing, so he defiantly just sat on the bench. But between his wackanoodle girlfriend and other attention hitting him, he then knelt. But the attention for his defiance was already there and pinned in his ears - this way after a few weeks of sitting and not a word, he then started with his oppression crap.

I think his original intent was solely sour grapes, which evolved somehow.
