Well, here is one idea thus far, as to where the Trump and DeSantis distance will be. But I think this may change dramatically by then, not to mention other parties entering and he hasn't even announced.

And while I like him a ton I am afraid all of the drama would return almost instantly, along with drama on the streets, more lying from the news. And probably 2 impeachments and collusion with 6 other countries by the time the primaries are halfway through.

I would prefer he support DeSantis and help him get elected.

Trump Still Dominates, Leading 2024 Republican Primary By 43 Points

No potential Republican presidential candidate holds a candle next former President Donald amongst GOP voters, a new Reuters/Ipso survey reveals.

The survey published Dec. 29 asks respondents to think “about the presidential election in 2024, who would you support as the Republican nominee for president?”

Trump dominated the field of hypothetical candidates in a 2024 Republican Primary, with 54 percent.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis amassed more support than the other candidates at 11 percent but still trailed by double digits.

Former Vice President Mike Pence came in third place with 8 percent support, followed by former U.S. ambassador to the U.N. Nikki Haley at 4 percent and Sen. Ted Cruz at 3 percent.

A Harvard/Harris survey published on Dec. 2, also shows Trump leading his closest potential challenger by 58 points, garnering 67 percent support.

Even Mitt Romney agrees it will be Tump’s nomination to lose.

It's Trump's for the taking, if he wants it... and all indicators I've seen say he wants it.

I'm hoping DeSantis will stay out for '24, because Trump doesn't half-step when he's competing and things will get ugly.

I really like DeSantis a lot and hope to see him run, though. He's performed admirably through the last couple of years and Florida is blessed to have had him at the helm. Plus, he really takes no shit from the libs out to smear him. That chick he's got for his spokesperson is really hell on wheels when it comes to calling bullshit and makes them look pretty foolish when it fails.

I actually prefer that Trump does not run for 2024. The election process would be very ugly and the rabid attacks on Trump from CNN and the NYC District Attorney would be a distraction. I think it would be much better to see DeSantis, Pence, Rubio and Haley run while Trump provide supporting speeches and interviews.

We probably need a younger person in the office anyway.
