Here's another worth thought. I'd add that I agree about some on the far right, there are many more on the far left that consider the Russian political/economic system much superior.

One last thought to share before I close out this bit of random speculation with you. It’s hard to ignore the parallels between what’s currently happening to Putin’s Russia and some things we’ve been seeing back home in the United States of late. For better or worse, Putin is in the process of being “canceled” by a collective of nation-states who can control broad swaths of communications and commerce. Does that sound familiar to anyone? It’s all well and good when nearly everyone agrees on a target. But those doing the canceling today may well find themselves being canceled tomorrow. Just some food for thought.

Good points.

https://hotair.com/allahpundit/2022/02/28/a-historic-debacle-n451787Probably (maybe) best for the World. Thinking maybe not so much for us. We're disliked abroad and by half our own people here at home. We've been the hushed whisper bad guy in a lot of places for a long time.

This is the World not only acting concert to stop a bad guy (even if for no more reason than self), it's acting without us. I don't think it will go unnoticed by those we are used to strong-arming.

Totally agree. Biden is NOT strong, much less seriously aware. It's good for all that the West gain more equality amongst members. Perhaps the EU will see that leadership, not bullying autocratic may lead to a better union?

IF this situation is diffused, we'll see how long it lasts. If it is not diffused, same. In case of the latter, some are going to have to tighten their belts a notch or two because we ARE going to pay for this.

In the case of the former, somebody's got to pay the bill. There are refugees in Poland, Slovakia and Romania. Homes, businesses, lives, etc destroyed. The West is not reknowned for its good faith when the bills come due.
