It's playing a part too. Putin is trying to shut it down, good luck with that:

Thought I mentioned it somewhere? I think Putin thought he was going to be welcomed as the benevolent liberator as Hitler was in Sudeten and Austria.

Unfortunately, troops are subject to what they are told by their superiors. Stupid. There's a completely different mindset behind going in being welcomed and being prepared to fight for every inch of ground. That's disarming your own troops.

I think Musk keeping Ukraine online and communicating has made a huge difference. Shutting down opposing comm is a military priority. The World is watching this first hand rather than getting just TASS' (how old is THAT?) version of events.

Russian troops have been saying they were told they would be welcomed as liberators, they were going in to de-Nazi-fy Ukraine, stuff like that. Russia has stated that Ukranian Nationalists are the ones blowing up Kharkiv:rolleyes: Footage shows otherwise.

I don't know much about Musk except he's some billionaire that fancies himself an astronaut, but I am impressed with at least the fact he came through for Ukraine. That's called being a good guy instead of sitting on your ass staring at the tube in my book.
