"It drowned"

I believe that the hour is not far off when Putin will say his famous “it drowned”, only this time, referring to Russia. Yes, it looks like a galley slave, as Putin positions himself in power, will break the galley about the truth, with hardness like a granite rock. His galley will drown in lies, which have become the hallmark of Russia through the efforts of the helmsman. To the well-known meme about Russia as the "Evil Empire", Putin added a new one - the "Empire of Lies". However, it could not be otherwise, for Evil and Falsehood are inseparable concepts.
In this regard, let me quote from an article I wrote earlier (1), in which I tried to explain why lies are so successfully present in the Russian people.

“Here it is necessary to note the unique feature of the Russian people, namely, its acceptance of lies. In the mind of a Russian, without causing any damage, truth and lies coexist perfectly. Once, when she was in the Soviet Union, in a student company, a Swede who was an intern at Moscow State University told about her important, as she presented, discovery - "in your country everyone says one thing, but thinks another." This state of ambiguity, habitual for our consciousness, aroused bewilderment in her. She, who grew up in a free society, could not understand how it could happen that everyone has the same opinion on any issue. What we, accustomed to universal lies, seemed to be taken for granted, seemed to her to be unnatural, and perhaps herd savagery, which she, of course, kept silent about. From this it is clear how easily the lies of the Russian president, which correspond to the imperial worldview of the people, are immediately accepted without hesitation by the consciousness of every Russian, regardless of which country he lives in. The latter says that even the changed circumstances are not able to change the imperial outlook of the Russian people.
Perhaps I am wrong, but, in my opinion, the Russian society, accustomed to Lies during the existence of the Soviet Union, plus the pathological inability of the Russian people to live in a democracy (3), combined with its imperial worldview, is in itself a kind of the embodiment of the Universal Evil, which threatens the World. And the point here is not Putin, Putin serves only as a successful conductor, the organizer of the outburst of this Evil. Thus, to the generally accepted, well-known definition of Russia as the "Empire of Evil", one can equally add the "Empire of Lies", because "lie" and "evil" are related concepts and do not exist one without the other. Thus, Russia’s aggression against Ukraine was accompanied by a mass-scale stuffing by the Russian media of an incredible amount of disinformation and outright lies on the part of the Kremlin and President Putin personally – the main, I would say, Russia’s unsurpassed liar today. It makes no sense to give a long track record of lies of the Russian president, because in every word he speaks lies.

Due to the fact that I could not find an example when President Putin would tell the truth, I asked the question “I would be grateful if someone gives at least one example when Putin told the truth? As expected, there was no affirmative answer. The reaction to this innocent question of the moderator of the site "Proza.ru" is especially comical. The topic with the question disappeared and instead the inscription “The work is not displayed” appeared (2). After some time, apparently realizing that such an action gives evidence of the lack of truth in Putin's words, the moderator returned my question to its place. However, none of those who read the question gave an example where Putin would tell the truth. After that, the moderator, without waiting for a positive answer, was nevertheless forced to close the topic, so as not to be branded an extremist under the new legislation and end up in prison.

The unequivocal conclusion follows, namely, Putin is a liar, but neither is it sad, the sad thing is that the Russian people accept this lie, no matter how monstrous it may be, as a necessity to justify the war with Ukraine. Of course, there are people in Russia protesting against the war unleashed by Putin, but they are negligible. Putin has confidence in the Russian people who support and vote for him in elections. How can one not remember George Orwell “People who vote for losers, thieves, traitors and scammers are not their victims. They are accomplices." Undoubtedly, Putin is a criminal who is awaiting an international tribunal. Putin is trailed by a series of crimes he committed during his time in power, from the bombing of houses with tenants and the ensuing war in Chechnya, to the unleashed war with Ukraine.

It should also be noted that the West is guilty of condoning the criminal steps of a revanchist who secretly planned to recreate the Russian Empire. Only now, after eighty years of a prosperous peaceful existence, Europe has realized that it has once again faced a disaster that threatens to bring it down into a nuclear nightmare. It turns out that throughout the post-war period, the ghost of Hitler (3) silently waited for a favorable opportunity to find reality in the person of Putin, exactly following the instructions of the Fuhrer: “If you lie long enough, loudly enough and often enough, people will begin to believe.”

Yes, it seems that Putin has learned the words of his teacher and confessor well. With the help of propagandists, whom Putin generously maintains on the state budget, the lie, like a tsunami, spilled out of Russia on people who grew up in conditions of democratic freedoms, and therefore are completely unprepared, unlike Russians, to perceive such an incredible amount of frankly brazen disinformation. It took time for the countries of democracy, which experienced the actions of the knights of the cloak and dagger sent by Putin, to realize what Putin and his Russia are, and finally unite in order to rid the World of this monster from the era of lizards that has miraculously survived to this day.

I remember the farewell of France to Jean Paul Belmondo, a man of great heart and great kindness, whose departure brought tears to those present at the memorial service, and so, I am sure, when the world gets rid of Putin, there will not be a single person saddened by this occasion. As in response to the question of Larry King, what happened to the submarine, Putin, without a drop of regret for the dead sailors, said "it drowned", and the question of what happened to Putin will similarly follow - he died.
