This is what Putin thinks of his own people. Most of the inhabitants of Kharkiv ARE Russian, and Kharkiv is a Russian-speaking city.

Whether or not it is convenient to Putin, most Ukrainians and Russian are ALL Rus and the Rus originated in the Baltic states region, not Moscow. Novgorod was a major trade hub when Moscow was a fishing village. Ukrainians are more Slavic than Russians, and Russians are more Mongol than Slav. Breeding shows

And this Euro-Russia divide? A creation of Stalin/USSR. Russia was an integral part of the European geopolitical community since at least the Napoleonic Wars.

I don't think Putin cares about the Ukrainians nor his own people. Just slow and merciless invasion and doesn't care who dies. Just has a goal to achieve and death be damned.

He's doing what he wants. Only Sean Penn stands in his way
