In his own words, his corporate "partners" made his famous gravy "taste like wallpaper paste". Today's KFC (they use the letters because they are ashamed of their own product) is horrid. Compare that to the fried chicken being prepared in the below video. Notice the pride in his product and attention to detail. He did business on the honor system with no contracts.
