I am not buying it...not really paying attention to the substance of what is going on, but strictly looking at the actions of the person holding the camera. Seems like they are hell bent on CREATING an issue with the police.....

As someone who goes to the border to try and deter the crossing of illegal aliens, I must say that what these women are doing is wrong. The lady in the first two videos, along with two other men, one of them a former Marine, have been charged with destroying the migrant camps in McMonagle Canyon along highway 56. The women at the Border Angel rally are lying to police officers saying they support Enrique Morones. It is painfully obvious that they are Minutemen. They are what is wrong with the anti-illegal immigration movement. They have no integrity and I am ashamed that I get associated with folks like them.

I go to the border once to twice a month and do what I can to deter illegal activity. Both human and drug. These folks can accomplish a lot more if they act better than those around them. That isn't something they are even attempting to do. They want to create a scene and gain notoriety. That is the wrong way to do it. The Border Group I belong to keeps a low profile. We are all former Marines. We are also all level III Search and Rescue technicians. We are on a first name basis with most of the agents from the Campo and Boulevard offices. We don't call in reports where we think we see something, we wait until the crossers are a minimum of 500 yards north of the border. At that point they are committed. These are things the Minutemen don't do and it makes the agents chase ghosts, thus wasting their resources. Minutemen are notorious for calling in groups that are still south of the border.

Martin, I know you mean well, but these videos only show one side and the side they are showing is distorted. Hell, all sides are distorted and that is why we are in this mess. All I can say is attend the rallies, but take the time to watch and listen to these folks. The rank and file are some great folks. Most of their leaders have future ambitions or ulterior motives.

It is in the best interest of whatever their goal, to work within the legal guidelines set down, whether on a piece of paper or outlined in the field, as a law afficer directs.
