They better come up with a better song and dance than this to keep a needle out of his arm. I don't see the point to keeping him around in a cage serving no purpose any way you look at it.

Cruz, 23, pleaded guilty to 17 counts of first-degree murder (https://www.foxnews.com/category/us/crime/homicide) in October for opening fire on students with an AR-15-style rifle at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School on Feb. 14, 2018.
His penalty trial, which will determine whether he's sentenced to death or life without parole, is underway in the Broward County Courthouse, in Fort Lauderdale.

Hopefully he too will find himself on the unfortunate end of a beating to death from a fellow prisoner who thinks he is a scumbag.

They're probably going for a sentence in mental ward to keep him from being in general population.Regardless his sentence, he'll neve see general population. Death row, or slow death in isolation are the usual two options.

He'll probably "commit suicide", whether he does or not :)
