I agree with the Latvian in curtailing Russians running for Russia. They didn't have a problem with the killing of Ukrainians before. Hardly qualifies as conscientious objector status just because Putin is now drafting them.
On the other hand, one would think the West would welcome and and all Russians fleeing Russia just to get them out of Russia and available for Putin's dumb ideas. Eve drafted people want to live and they will kill if they have to in order to survive. Depleting that pool rather than having to kill it later in the battlefield seems like a good idea. But then the Ukrainians are the ones that will have to face them on the battlefield :rolleyes:
