Our leaders chose to make oil a non-USA commodity. They've chosen to make it extremely difficult to make it profitable in the future also. While many might rightly see that as foolish, regardless of purpose; it would be equally if not more foolish for the oil producers not to tighten supply further when competition becomes even more scarce thanks to Russian boycott by Europe. Thus, the new OPEC goal has been set very high and is now taking effect.

I'm waiting to here Biden's song and dance this winter when our "allies" are freezing their butts off in Europe while we sit here on untapped energy. Probably freezing our butts off too in some places :rolleyes:

We could have gotten way ahead of that.
